Dear Henni,
I'll start with the ingredients list - which the rules say must be in order of volume, higest first:
My commnets after ....
Granen
...........grain as main ingredient automatically makes this bad for ctas.
..........they do not say how much but it is MORE than anythg else
..........and protein needs to be highest percent for cats
vlees en dierlijke bijproducten (23% kip)
.....meat and animal byproducts means the junk at the slaughterhouse after all meat has been removed
....while it technically contains animal protein, is is the poorest quality with imbalanced amino acid ratios
.....23% only, when a cat needs 55% ideally, and better cat food has 40% makes it bad junkfood
plantaardige eiwitextracten
......(plantaardige? sounds like plant based?) If it is dried eggwhite extract, it is a very bad idea.
........eggwhite is Albumin which is is animal protein
....... but withotu the yolk, there is no balance of iron and it has too much avidin
........avidin that is not countered by biotin from the yolk.
.........also means there is no brain food from the egg yolk good choleserol.
oliën en vetten
..........does not say which oils. Unlikely to be fish oil.
.........PLant oils are too high in omega-6 which is inflammatory
........ and they lack arachidonic acid that cats require
.........."fat" also usually means junk fat from the slaughterhouse unless specified
........a good cat food will say "chicken fat preserved with Vitamin E
plantaardige bijproducten (0,9% cellulose, 0,4% insuline)
..........junk that cats cannot use as fiber
visproducten,
.......potentially a beneficial ingredient but like the meat onel it sounds like leftovers not fish MEAL
gist (1,4%)
......not sure what "gist" is?
mineralen.
....not helpful if they do not list which minerals.
