Jennifer, what a beautiful piece! Is that your own, or if not, where

Oh the comfort of feeling safe with a person.

Having neither to weigh thoughts, nor measure words,

But~

Pouring them all right out~ just as they are~

Chaff and grain together…

Certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them…

Keep what is worth keeping,

And

With a breath of kindness, Blow the rest away!

Why wouldn't I believe you - strange thing to say.

As has been written no-one said dry doses don't work. It would be like saying the simillimum doesn't work or that you cannot give dry doses in a proving or during an acute. There is a big difference though in giving a single dry dose, whatever the potency, in a seemingly chronic case, without having decided or assessed whether repetition might be needed. So often in long term serious pathology repetition is needed and then what, you get yourself into a tricky situation, warned of to us by Hahnemann.

So what would you do in these sort of cases?

Joy
It's okay, Joy, I've got it all pretty well covered...

No, none are acutes. (The cat was trauma causing life-threatening injuries plus ramping up of the preexisting, chronic state, so both acute and chronic. The others were chronic.)

I think the major sticking point here is the difference between high potency / single dose prescribing, and low / LM prescribing. You guys aren't comfortable or experienced with the high/single approach; I am.

Yes the cow was by olfaction; it was also single dose / high, done by watch-and-wait, 4th ed method. I agree that adequate communication is hugely important, and I assure you it can be easily combined with 4th ed method, and that I certainly always do so. If you don't believe me that's okay, I don't mind. :-)
