Probably because I dare take them when every other practitioner has felt they cannot help them or, like many conventional practitioners, call them "mental cases".
And because I use many different methods, not homeopathy exclusively, to the horror and curses of the classical community.......as described in my book..........
Some come because of my background in conventional medicine.
And yes, we live in a poisonous world; but having myself made the journey towards health, I realised that when almost completely healthy AND listening to your body, it becomes easy to recognise, then avoid harmful substances, even moderate healthy ones taken in excess: for example, when discussing nutrition, one of the things I teach my patients is to be aware of the taste of the food they eat: while eating, if the taste changes (and it can be subtle, but it is recognisable), it simply means you had enough of this food for now..........so don't finish what is in your plate, save it for later when you will need it again; it has nothing to do with satiety, it recognises the fact that "the tank is full for that component".
Same and a lot easier with harmful components.

This is a great discussion!

I talked to a friend today who has MCS and ran a MCS support group for
years. Her family of origin is alcoholic, she was trained to suppress
anger from an early age (any expression of anger got her sent to her
room and was made to lie still on bed until the next day), history of
allergies/sensitivities, was drugged (fully conscious but immobile)
while raped, and then was debilitated (legally declared disabled)
after chronic occupational exposure to airborne pesticides and
herbicides followed by one REALLY bad exposure. Miasmatically her
family is strongly sycotic with her her post-traumatic stress IMO
being a manifestation of an overlying acute miasm.

Over the past few years she'd done a lot of Lachesis as well as Nux-v
and some other remedies. Just maybe three or four months ago she
started on Anacardium and has been opening up beautifully. She has a
peace, clarity, calm, and grounding I've never seen in her before. :-)

I shared the ideas from this discussion (up to yesterday morning) with
her. Obviously she agreed both the mental/emotion trauma and
environmental exposures applied in case. She also shared she believes
every person in support group over the years has had *both* a
predisposing mental/emotional/sexual abuse history Rosemary mention,
then an ongoing history of environmental/food sensitivities/allergies,
followed by an acute or nasty chronic exposure to some toxin which
triggered the MCS.

Her observations about the histories of so many MCS sufferers really
makes sense to me. I'd think if it were just miasm, just abuse
history, or just chemical exposure that caused MCS, we'd be inudated
with cases. MCS would be as common as syndrome X, high blood
pressure, and obesity.

Just a slight correction if I may: we ARE inundated, we just do not recognise them enough as all the symptoms are so polymorphous as to mimic anything and everything.

Not to mention electrosensitivity! (EMR, EMF, whatever.)
Anyone had cases of that? (Hi, Helen! :-) )

One case of dizziness and other smallish symptoms caused by chronic exposure to EMF, used VDU and Cellphone remedies as isotherapics to unblock the case and progress further.

Dear Dr, Roz,
That's a wonderful piece of wisdom. Too bad is doesn't work very well for feeling what you really need.
Best,
Ellen

Thank you Dale,
He's separating out the different kinds of drugs. The stimulants and those that knock you out. Drug categories and rubric categories may match. The emphasis on culture is well taken.

It does!
It is called "instinctivotherapy".........seriously.
It is an old French approach that did ask to eat only raw food; look and smell the food first, what attracts you is what you need, and as soon as the taste or the desire to eat it changes, stop.
Unfortunately, the proponents of that method became "gurus", held health camps with "indoctrination" into the method and killed a few people by having them stop medications like insulin injections, promising total cure.........so they ended up in jail and the method was discredited; it has been revived somewhat by the raw food movement.
Although we do not follow the raw food, and love our meat cooked, fried or roasted, it is very amusing to see my wife and I shopping (when I have the patience to come along) and sniffing fruits and veggies in the supermarkets, percussion melons and watermelons to estimate if they are mature enough........we leave a trail of amazed customers who start sniffing too, wondering what we recognise and what to do with smells..........and no, we do no sniff cans or prepacked food........... :-))

Must have told you about the one who got a headache every time he used his cell phone. 3 doses of Mobile Phone 30 (Nuala's version) did the trick!!

Did it change anything else about "his case", do you know or remember?
