Thank you Irene, that's part of the point behind my inquiry.
Gee I didn't think there would be such a debate, just yes there is a
proving, or no - and let's look at why that could be a good idea!

To the reply simplifying this to 'foodstuffs' - plants constitute how
much of our materia medica??? This one is worth looking at for all
reasons stated.
And to the reply about GM soy - yes that should be a sister proving :)

Have a great day,
Liz

Wow on the WestonPrice links... thank you, Sheri.
On another note, soy (along with corn) seems to be one of the biggest stim inducers in kids on the autism spectrum. Don't know if it's because of the genetic modification or what. Even soy lethicin is problematic.
Truly,
Erica

there have some very interesting films lately dealing with food, corn in
particular with emphasis on high fructose sugar.
The Future of Food
King Corn
are two of them, off the top of my head.
there is a free download of the future of food online. it is a full length film.

michael fallon has done major research into corn.
his major book on this is the Omnivore's Dilemma: a natural history of 4 meals.
as a journalist, he focuses on food and environment.
you can also hear some of his talks on u-tube.
