Then

This is something caused by excitement then... probably look at
Spongia...

If we generalize it we have also Ars, Coffea, Cypripedium,
Aurantium...(knerr under various Excitement rubrics)

whatever it is - if this is not the main symptom - (and if it is not
abnormal , which for me does not seem to be esp. in a child ,it
could be a symptom in an adult- but here actually Excitement, or
Excitable could be the symptom -) then it is better to look at this
along with other symptoms of the child....

One of the pictures I have of this of Cal.phos "wants to go home" is
the following:

I recall a case of calc.phos where this old woman ( who owned a big
apartment complex and rented it out to a lot of people)who was very
religious and was donating to building a lot of temples. She used to
spend a lot of time in temples. She always stated that it is in
temples and at the feet of God where she will get peace. ( In our
local language temple is called House of God). She was not depressed
or anything. In fact she was very active in the community, very
gregarious etc.
it is only one kind of a picture...

Otherwise if you look at it, the patients are forgetful ( anemic,
getting well from debilitating diseases) and so lack of orientation
causes this symptom...

they think they have to go somewhere - and do not know where...

Ignatia. Not sure but maybe not as long drawn out. I have seen
this about 4 times. Also find that they are searching for a place
in life. In rubric not at home. Also sometimes they feel not in
their body [again not at home ]. A patient I had lost this feeling
as soon as I put the remedy in their hand, I think it could be
suitable for a fast growing child who had the food preferences and
had some thirst. Would also use it for growing pains if had the
food modalities, Jean

so it is a sense of being displaced or estranged
and perhaps ungrounded within themselves.

this woman is very well bonded with her mother, father and
siblings. it is a very close family. they live as an
extended family with the parents and 2 of the siblings having
apartments on the property which they all mutually own.
have no idea of the mother's state during pregnancy. btw,
we are talking about 50 yr old woman who immigrated here at
age 17. in the past i treated her for past life experiences
which seemed to be the only arena that produced any information
of trauma. i think opium was the rx that was given at that
time which was very helpful then.
the betrayal of one's faith or spiritual beliefs is very
ungrounding for people. i have seen this before. it is way
more than grief i think because it goes to the core of one's
identity in the world. it really is on a cosmic level i feel.
so i think the rubrics need to reflect this kind of psychic
dismemberment. it is a loss of meaning in life, i think.

The flower remedies can be useful in lack of joy and negativity. or as you describe it so well this ungrounded feeling. Australian Flower remedies ??? Stuart Desert Pea and Sunshine Wattle. Something like this which she could help explore would maybe help while you are [both ] searching for understanding. Maybe putting some of the responsibility on her is reasonable. Jean

As addition resp. a possiblea different approach:

I should tentatively group it under "gestures".
