I am looking for......

Post by Shannon Nelson »

Hi Rochelle,

Nope, that's definitely not what he was about; he did explain his
thinking to me very carefully! It's perhaps also relelvant, that at
that point my prior M/E symptoms of the remedy were not being
expressed; I was in a very sick, stuck, almost stuporous state, with
only a few symptoms showing, but those very physical and pretty severe
(in a "stuck" sort of way). Some people would have given low potency
for those reasons as well (tho others would not, I know)... And--I
will never know whether 10M wouldn't have worked fine also :-) but
like I said, the lower potency did the job nicely!

Dear Jeff,
You pasted:-

There are no raw surfaces and no discharge. A Graphites skin problem as a honey coloured sticky discharge.

Hi Soroush,
I was waiting for the expected backlash after what I wrote but you are probably aware of the fact that a whole generation of homeopaths were taught to give 30,200,1M at their colleges in UK and I am one of them. I have never found a problem with it and prefer it to some of my former famous lecturers who when I sent friends to see them gave 1M, 3 doses 1 a day!!!Now that I could never understand as I would expect a proving affect to take place!!!
That is the thing about homeopathy - it seems to work however you give it. I think intention (am hiding from more backlash :-)) is important.
Re LM's I personally don't give them. I have tried it, I have been given them myself and find problem with it. I do however give water potencies (split dose method) a la Luc de Schepper!!
It's horses for courses as they say.

Gaaaah, the "intention" monster!!!! Run, run!!!!
Hah, there you have it! :-))

If "intention" were all that big a deal, ALL of my patients would be
dancing, singing, totally well and healthy, not needing me any more!
Could any of us say differently? So what the heck is with this
"intention" thing... How come it sometimes takes me several tries to
get my "intention" right? Dang, and I thought it had to do with the
"right remedy"... Rats, I guess need to study psychology (my own)
instead of homeopathy.
Seriously tho, "intention" is a total cop-out non-answer in my book...

How about--"Homeopathy is a very user-friendly system, and there are a
surprisingly large number of roads leading to Rome"? (Also a
surprisingly large number of ways to get lost along those roads, but
still...)

Dear Shannon,
I look at it another way. How come I manage to help so many of my patients in some way or another? Surely I can't be getting the Rx right so many times?? :-) :-)
Oh dear I hope we don't have loads of post on this one as in my book it is a non starter and some people will get het up about it which I refuse to do!!

Well, that "right remedy" comes back to the "user friendly" issue...
In most cases you *do* have a degree of leeway, and may find either
"the right", or "a nearly-enough right".

But okay, that's all I got to say... I just find the "intention" thing
annoying, maybe because of the implication that when you *don't* get it
right, you were somehow not "intending" properly, which is IMO so much
more of a put-down (or a self-put-down I guess I mean) than simply
trying again to "find the right remedy". And it doesn't make logical
sense to me. But--that's all from my camp.
:-)
