There is a difference between knowing the ultimate cause - which we can't
know and knowing an 'exciting factor' or 'precipitating cause', or miasms
that show susceptibility.........
Certainly exciting factors are important to know and are included in our
search to find the right remedy - ie. worse after being out in cold rain;
worse during period; better after day at the beach; worse after staying out
late and drinking; seemed to come on after parents had big fight; started
when parents got a divorce; symptoms started after baby brother born. All
of those kind of things we can see and know that they were factors in
tipping the balance
But we cannot know the ultimate cause of anything...........this hormone
out of balance - why? This organ affects this hormone affects this uptake
of nutrient affects this...........and on and on as we see in allopathy.
We cannot know and for homoepathic treatment all of that doesn't matter as
you will see as we go along
I found this interesting in a taped lecture from Jeremy Sherr, that
discusses this very thing - he said that allopaths are linear and
materialistic - want a cause, to find something from the outside that
caused your symptoms - ie bacteria, virus; something from the inside that
caused gallbladder pain - the gallstones. But can they explain why the
gallstones are there. Well they'll try - high cholesterol or some such
nonsense. And then they have to explain why the cholesterol was high and
that could be, they think, because of too many eggs, and they why do too
any eggs do this and on and on and on. And then they will do surgery, or
give antibiotics, or give anti-depressants. All their medicine and
technique is anti - against. The search for the 1 cause is unending - can
go back forever and ever. Ulcer from this - too much acid (now its
bacteria, for the sake of the example), and why too much acid, and why and
why and why. They will never get to the end because the end is the Vital
Force of the human and you can't measure that or find that. That is what
the homeopaths look to from the beginning - not to measure or find but to
listen to, hear, & watch what it is doing. There is no answer to the
cause, only the message of the symptoms to see what the VF is telling us.
They don't recognize the VF of nature and the universe because they
separate everything out - break into parts - cells, pieces. A Greek
philosopher said he's rather discover the single cause of illness than be
the King of Persia - he said that because it is not possible to find a
single cause or a cause. You can only look wider and wider for real
understanding.
