If you get tired - stop reading!
There is no obligation to either read everything opposing views
present or to take a stance yourself immediately
Take your time, digest, relax, if the topic ceases to be INTERESTING
- drop it

Well, that's a good point too.
Personally I think it would be a very good thing if we were to (at
least largely) skip *both* sides of that argument, in favor of
discussing those aspects that *do* relate to our work as homeopaths.
Learning the "remedy pictures" of the various "germs" I do think could
be extremely useful; also discussing the ways in which "diagnosis" is
and is not important for prescribing and case management, things like
that.
Yes, and IMO both sides of this debate are guilty on that score.
Maybe it would be better to leave those questions (germs or no germs?)
to be decided by individuals when, if and as we are ready, and get back
to the homeopathy.
Quite true, and IMO fascinating! Like the search for the "smallest
particle", "cause" can always be taken back farther. But only part of
that spectrum is within our scope *as homeopaths*, so why don't we
focus (again) on that, and leave immunology to the immunologists,
philosophy to the philosophars... Yes *parts* of those fields and
others are very relevant to our work *as homeopaths*--I would like to
return our focus to those.
Jeremy is awesome!!!!!
He has a couple (?) of presentations on HomeopathicSymposium that are
just a delight--presentations on Androctonos and Germanium, and maybe
there's another... Just wonderful!
Best wishes,
Shannon

This would be a nice discussion.
There is much to suggest that that is not *necessarily* true nowadays,
but would be interesting to explore!
I do not see it as "fear of germs" so much as just seeing what's out
there.
I'm not scared of wolves or snakes or horses either, yet I would not
approach a wild wolf pup, nor handle (with my lack of experience) an
unidentified snake, nor jump up on any horse passing by. And you,
Sheri, have never answered my attempts to scope out just how far you
are willing to trust your new lack of "fear of germs".
And I am hereby asking for freedom on the "mental level" for the
list--freedom to draw our own conclusions if and as we are ready.
Yup, so let's get some, and stop trying to force ideas down people's
throats!
Best wishes,
Shannon

Oh yes, but *that* is a whole separate thing!
It's true that allopathic training "builds in" this arrogance--but then
doesn't our homeopathic training do the same? With similarly
unfortunate results, except that we don't get any "big stick" to weild.

More's the pity...
Hee-hee, and this is SOOOOO true of "us" too, hm?

So--to what extent is "being right" really the point, and to what
extent is the *process* also important--being able to take in and
utilize new information?

Yes, and for this reason and others, we *should* seek out organizations
such as the Health Freedom Alliance and others (anyone want to mention
some favorites?) that are working *specifically* to try to free health
care from that grip! Write to elected officials; write letters; stay
educated on the issues!

E.g. the proving picture of Staphyloccoccus that was posted a month or
so ago?
*******
In Monera, staphylococcinum has in his symptoms
"trapped and victimised
Emotionally feeling trapped and shut in and stifled
Felt victimised, irritable and bitter. "Why is this happening to me ?"
Well she kept telling me "you won't believe, it happens only to me
etc.... rather on a joking tone...still she kept saying the surgeon did
wrong and is now guilty....and knows it !
***************
But then someone posted a very full picture from Monera, which I
thought I'd saved...
Sheri, were you on for that exchange? It was intriguing!

No I wasn't in on that.
Aren't most of these from sputum, etc.
I would suggest that it isn't a proving of bacteria at all, but a proving
of sputum from a person ill at the time with a certain set of symptoms
