i have seen 2 antidoting experiences with coffee--1 of them was from
coffee ice cream (Hagendas which brags that they use the real thing).

i have also seen antidoting from emotional stress which was very great.
this woman has just begun w/homeopathy; the rx was working but
within a about 2 weeks she ran into the etiological cause of her condition
and completely reversed.

Hi Elizabether,
And in the case of coffee, I've been told that the more "addicted" they
are, the more likely it is to cause a problem for their remedy. OTOH
if they're accustomed to it and *not* getting problems from it, then
it's probably okay?? (I'm still confused by that whole thing...)
Sorry, I didn't explain that well...
I've always had lousy teeth, so have had *lots* of dental work, and of
course always try to *not* have it too soon after taking a remedy--I
was initially told to wait "a few months". But over these 15+ years
there have been several times when I wound up getting drilled within a
shorter time-frame. (All of these are high-potency single doses.)
there was no apparent problem.
remedy--prescheduled appointment, and I just forgot! Duh. In that
case the remedy was promptly and thoroughly antidoted, but that was
just fine because I'd gone straight into a rather horrible aggravation.
both of those times it was antidoted. At my homeopath's direction I
waited another two weeks, because he said that *sometimes* what looked
like an antidoting turned out to be only temporary, and the remedy
action would resume. But in these two cases it didn't, so I eventually
re-dosed, which worked fine.

So--two weeks appears to me *me* window, but probably other people have
different windows...

One explanation (I think via Julian?) for the restriction on mint, is
that it closes down the pores of the tongue, and (apparently) renders
it less receptive to the remedy, but only for an hour or so. Other
than that, Julian explained that in Hahnemann's time, "use of mint"
meant having it spread on your floors to walk on; rubbing it all over
the body (deodorizer?), and eating in large amounts--not just having it
in your toothpaste.
LOL, I'm guessing if chocolate were a problem for *most* people, we'd
have been out of business long ago! (But maybe for some poor souls...)
:-)

Good analysis, Simon. Personally, I've found since I almost passed out a
couple of years ago from the adrenaline and have since been requesting that
they use the anesthetic without it that dental work is MUCH less traumatic.

So I guess we can add huge adrenaline rushes to the list of potential remedy
antidotes -- maybe put it at the top of the list??-- it makes a lot of
sense.

Hi, Elizabeth,

Actually, if you read Hahnemann's dietary and life prohibitions in the
Organon, patients are supposed to avoid just about everything except meat
and potatoes (even vegetables!) . I've often wondered about that!

Well........maybe two hundred years ago ........the only thing not infected
was meat and potatoes. Wise teachers teach for what is healthy at the time. My
two cents worth is Dr. Hannehman was perceiving that hygiene,,,,,,,good
nutrition.......healthy relationships....etc are all good for health living. We
now live in a epidemic of adult onset diabetes in children that has risen
5,000 per cent in the last 3 years. Now children 5 to 12 years old are getting
it. It has been linked directly to high fructose corn syrup in just about every
thing junk .........food ........soft
drinks,,,,,,ketchup..........mustard,,,,,,,and it is poison........as it aspartame,,,,,,,,,,saccharine,,,,,,,and
the new one with the yellow label........we are systemically being poisoned by
our own food givers.......and government.....along with
Prozac,,,,,,,,seldane,,,,,,,,vioxx.........mevacor......and all the other SSI's and sleeping
pills.

I have not experienced Psorinum antidoted by coffee? I have a few clients on
it with terrible skin problems and they are great, and they have coffee
daily????

Remember folks it is not 'the remedy' that is antidoted
