M is an 'amalgamation' of 9 females breastmilk, but I leave the provers to say the
rest so you can draw your own conclusions.

HISTORY - This remedy Lac-h. is made from human breast milk. A proving
was done in 1993 by Jacqueline Houghton and Elisabeth Halahan in England [ in
1992, on 13 persons [4 men, 9 women]]. . In folk medicine mother's milk was used
as a remedy for infant conjunctivitis.
Preparation of Remedy
The milk, collected by Melissa Assilem, from a mother chosen because she
had bonded particularly well with her child, was mixed with 50% of alcohol to
ensure perfect solubility. Then I drop was mixed with 10 drops to make the
potency of I X. Then a mixture of 0.4 to 3.6 to make the 2X. To be sure it was well
dissolved, I drop to 50% alcohol to make 2C then I drop of this mixture to 99
drops and potentised as usual.

There are still many questions to be answered. Every homeopath will notice the
resemblance between Lac caninum, Lac defloratum and Lac humanum. Did
Hahnemann work with Lac humanum? I only found colostrum mentioned in
homeopathic literature but no further material. Many of our remedies are triturated
in milk sugar? Does this mean that our milk theme is already part of many other
remedies? Is this why Hahnemann chose lactose and no other substance for the
preparation of homeopathic remedies?

Mother's Milk.
Breast milk contains a lot of proteins, including antibodies, and is the right
temperature. Colostrum, the yellowish fluid secreted in the first few hours or days
after giving birth, consists mainly of lymphocytes and immunoglobulins. It
precedes the production of milk. Breast-feeding promotes the physical and
emotional contact between mother and child. Mother's milk, therefore, is
preferable to artificial feeding. "Milk is food of early animal life and therefore

Lac Maternum is made from the milk of nine women, milk from three days
(colostrum) to 10 months after parturition. The different potencies were lege artis
made by Dolisos Holland in the spring of 1994.

I gave this remedy a new name to distinguish it from the Lac humanum that was
already in use and is made from the milk of only one woman. Besides, Lac
maternum sounds better to me.
Proving
The main focus of this remedy proved to be incarnation in current life. The
process of incarnation that takes place during pregnancy is surely not complete at
birth and the mother's milk helps the baby to come down gradually.
