I agree with you Vera and this is what I had proposed to do!! I intend to give her some Euphrasia eyedrops and Calendula cream for the lesion to see if it will heal and then reassess the case in a month. The other thing I thought of was after the month give her some Sulphur to clear the way and weight again.

I dismissed Arsenicum because she has no fear of strangers, robbers etc. She said she used to leave her house open in Liverpool. When I went up to her room her door had been left open for me. She did tell me that her previous homeopath said she was Arsenicum constitutionally so I reckon she must have had loads of that given to her already. The other remedy I thought of was Calc Ars which is the most anxious Rx in the MM I think. When I brought up the lumps with the scabs to her and had the doctor seen it she immediately went into fear of cancer mode. However she didn't really come across to me as being nervous and anxious . She came over as a hypochondriac especially when she bounced out of bed to open that window!! Maybe an attention seeker and a lonely woman who wants someone to chat to?? It's difficult on a first consultation when she was a bit confused which I put down to possibly taking Temazapan during the day. However she seemed to take to the EFT I showed her how to do and she did say that she does the crossword in the newspaper daily but I didn't find out which newspaper!!

Re the Vega test -the last homeopath arranged for someone to come and do it for her to see if the M. E. was caused by food

I said I would drop in with something tomorrow for her. Everything will be typed out for her as a list of instructions.

The need for support in Arsenicum can override the fear of strangers
and open doors allows for that - her fear is concentrated in the
disease. It is important to get the notes from the previous homeopath
and at least find out if she has had Arsenicum to rule it out without
assumption. Joy

I have been in touch with the previous homeopath who said she has had lots of remedies and it was a while since she last saw her. The homeopath thought it would be better if I took a fresh case. I am sure she will have had Ars because of the patient's comment about it!! I will email her as I want to know about those scabby lumps on her forehead.

Two things I'd consider:
One, asking if she is willing to "stop taking everything"--sleeping
pills and homeopathics, and anything else--so that you can get a
clearer view of what's underneath, what happens. But with her poor
memory, you might need to ask someone else--her daughters?--to take
charge of chronicling the results. See if you can find specific
sensations, modalities, repeating thoughts, all that good stuff.

And, see what sort of case you could put together based on information
from her past--what was going on around the time she stopped going out;
any possible causation, or is this just the progression of her
long-term state? And etc. Again, bring her daughters in as accessory
"case-givers". (And this, of course, is recommended in the Organon!
To get case information also from friends and family; and maybe
essential in a situation like this, I would think!)

I do agree that I would like to talk to the daughters or at least one of them!! I can't ask her to stop the sleeping pill as that has been prescribed by her doctor and she insisted that he said that she had to keep taking it but she is only taking a 1/4 of one according to her but I will check up on this when I pop back in to see her tomorrow. I may give her sac lac( I will call it Essel and tell her it is a new remedy which won't be in her books) and put in my instructions that she is not to take anything that I haven't told her to take.

Hi Rochelle,
I'd worry about calendula cream for a lesion that clearly has some
deeper source, whether cancerous or something else. Wouldn't that (if
it worked, which would surprise me) risk being suppressive, locking the
toxins or discharge in?

Well, it would seem essential to me, to know why her doctor is so
insistent about this.
Was she suicidal, hysterical, phone him all the time, injuring herself,
or ?? It seems weird to me (but what do I know)... At the very least
you need to know why...

Doctors in UK rarely communicate with homeopaths!! As long as the Patient comes off the medication because they want to it is OK but I am not allowed to tell them to against their doctors advice.
Re the Calendula - if there is something suspicious going on with the lesion the Calendula wouldn't work on it anyway. I just thought it would be better than the Tea tree oil she is using now!!

I have a full list of the Rx she has been given and it looks as if it is 3 years since she saw a homeopath. I can understand reasons for many of these remedies.

Rochelle,
Are you sure this lady is being entirely straight with you? Not playing 'bet you can't get me well?' If so you may not be able to take everything at face value and maybe need to be looking at something like thuja. (Until I got this feeling in your last post I would have gone along with the sulphur idea - a good clear out that might get her out of bed and dressed!)
If I am right about this then the elaborate placebo plan would be just facing deviousness with more deviousness - playing the game, in a sense. You will know you are being less than honest and she might well pick up on it too ........do you really want to go there?
If we look at it from the point of view of parallel processes then your even considering this plan might indicate something about what is going on for her.

Yours, in highly speculative mode,
Theresa
