Hm, I guess we (US) go in for lower potencies... Closest I can think
of here is an unadorned 2x (Dos Equis, if I've spelled it right?)

Robin, as you haven't told us what 'twaddle' (what you consider to be
so) that it is you are referring to I can only assume it is regarding
the most recent curious rubric 'Arms, clucking'.
Most of what I write comes from experience so for you Logan, here's the
case from a few years ago.
A young lad whose parents didn't want to bring him to see me but
preferred that I go and observe him in school - (I have to say that it
is very valuable to be able to see clients in their environment and if
you ever get the chance to do this I would always encourage it).
He had been labeled a child with special needs but this carries a
multitude of meanings and isn't very useful in itself.
His behaviour was observed to be erratic, running around a lot,
flapping his arms and stamping his feet, kept hiding in the toilet,
bathroom and even a cupboard for ages. When hiding he would be quiet
and told people to leave him alone, when running around he was
extremely nervous, excitable and jabbering what seemed to be nonsense.
When he could be observed when quiet his upper body from the arms to
the face twitched a great deal. He would basically wear himself out
with all this. Learning abilities seemed poor. Home life was the same
as at school. There didn't appear to be any pattern to these episodes
they just happened several times a day.
When I was able to talk with him I asked why he ran around a lot and he
complained of being cold all the time. I asked him what he felt like
inside and he said it all felt wobbly. I asked him what special
language he was using and he told me it was a secret language. I asked
what was his favourite play activity, he answered swimming underwater.
He didn't answer any other questions reliably and he seemed really
quiet and reticent compared to when he was running around. Parents said
he slept badly, ate badly, had terrible digestive problems and had been
constipated almost since he was a toddler. He scratched himself a lot
although there didn't appear to be any eruption. Acutes had been mainly
sore throats and coughs. Major trauma was birth father dying suddenly
but had a good relationship with step father. He was very young when
father died and he had little memory of him. He didn't have behaviour
problems in as much as he couldn't be handled he just didn't seem to
relate to anyone properly. He rarely got angry but could easily be
moved to tears. There was quite a lot of other information that didn't
seem useful.
I gave 2 rx neither of which did anything and then I realised that I
was only looking at his chaotic state and not the quiet, hiding away
times. I asked his parents about the history behind this. Began some
months after his birth father died and the mother began a new
relationship. There was no jealousy but he became very shy and wanted
to be alone, began locking doors and spending hours in the bathroom
(the only lockable room). He couldn't cope with any new situation and
would either hide or run around, as though running away all the time.
The twitching/jerking started some months after that and latterly the
secret language. I asked him why he liked the bathroom so much but he
wouldn't answer. The child was basically a mix of excitable nerves and
inward shyness and embarrassment (the character that finally led me to
Ambra grisea), there was nothing angry about him at all.
I gave Ambra grisea 1m and the peace that descended the family was
indescribable, although it took quite a long time for his eating habits
and constipation to improve. He also had a lot of really bad acutes
within a short space of time. All nervous twitching stopped within a
week.
I never used the rubric 'Arms, clucking', probably didn't even know it
existed. There was no mention of pulsation but Ambra grisea certainly
has this sx, he was too young to use such a description and he might
not have used it even if he did know. But I was very glad to have
Gaby's clarification on this. Pulsation is all about movement. This rx
is all about movement. It alone can cause the spasms, twitches and
jerks, although so can deeper pathology such as brain softening that is
part of this rx. It is almost a mixture of numbness (no feeling) and
excitability (too much feeling) and if you think of pulsation as a
radio wave with peaks and troughs (the numbs being the troughs and the
excitement being the peaks) then you will begin to understand the
spasmodic picture of this rx.
I don't know why I am bothering to give you the time of day on this
but when you announce to nigh on 2000 people that you think I write a
load of twaddle then I am not likely to take that without response. Joy

Hi Joy,
Thanks very much for "the time of day" on this one!
I'm grateful
to see this case, as it's a remedy I don't know as I should, and am
filing this away! I love to see these--nicely summed cured case, with
clear and "educational" description of what led to the remedy--thanks
again!
