Dear Rochelle, sometimes Nit Ac can come up for this esp if the anxiety is
actually rooted in anger and resentment (re the affair) and the financial
problems are caused by the infidelity (and therefore resented and
unforgiven ). This can cause one to take the emotions on somatically into
the stomach and cardiac region (almost heart broken). The level of
resentment and ability to forgive or not would lead you to Nit ac though the
patient may be unaware of this as to cope one often pushes it into the
physical to cope and all you see is the anxiety.
Just a thought. Often Nit ac has a worry about disease - usually cancer but
I have found when anxious it can be others.

(PS am sending this to your email also as I never seem to be able to post
through to Minitus even though I have been reading the list for about 18mths
now.

Hello Rochelle,

out more things is unable to concentrate on anything and says she has a knot
in her stomach all day. Other than Anxiety in Stomach is there anything
rubric I have missed. Ignatia 10M has helped to a certain extent but is not
holding. The anxiety is to do with disease (whether she has an STD) and
financial.

There are two considerations - her current state and her constitutional
state. The anxiety about STD and financial (i.e. what will happen in the
future) could be an anticipation type anxiety. (waiting for the std to
manifest or test results etc.) This could point to a remedy like Arg.nit.

Which leads to the next point - her constitutional type. The reaction she
has showed must be in part, at least, due to her constitutional type.
Different people react differently. In my experience this has always been
useful in differentiating between possible choices. Now if she is an
Arg.nit type, then it is clear why she experienced this reaction (and
likewise for any other possibilities).

Regards,
Paul

Dear Paul,
Thanks for replying.
Take it from me it is very difficult to try and find a constitutional remedy from a woman who is numb!! When I saw her for something else a couple of years back I gave her Thuja but that doesn't mean that she needs it now. All I can hope is that the Ignatia has done something in the Water Potency I gave her as she has not been back to me and said that she would if it didn't work this time. But then again maybe some of the EFT we did helped as well. I don't feel that Arg Nit is needed. It is all to do with the causation which is the betrayal, shock and grief.

Regards
Rochelle

Hi Rochelle,
Would you say the fears about STD and money are reasonable in the
situation, or are they more reflective of her state?

STD - very reasonable because she has just found out that her husband had been seeing prostitutes. The money is also reasonable because she found out that her husband had forged her name on a loan on some joint equity!!

Ahhhhh....
Can you tell what other feelings / reactions are there--anger,
betrayal, shame, fury, revenge, self-disgust, or ??? And the
fears--can you find more texture and detail about that? I'd expect her
to feel a *LOT* more than simple grief...

And have you asked whether this situation or the feelings it brings any
other times, events, people, places, whatever? (Taking the angle that
response is based on previous susceptibility, etc.)

Could numbness be equated with powerlessness and it seems fear is
there, Jean

Hi Rochelle, have you considered Staphisagria: 'dullness after
mortification', 'effects of wounded honour','victim of repressed wrath..'
Vermeulen, Concordant M.M.
Best wishes, Joan Kikos

Thanks Joan. Yes I have considered Staph but this woman has no difficulty in standing up for herself even now.
