headache

Dear All,

The latest on this is that she has phoned me and we went over all the point and questions you suggested and basically came out with nothing new. The only thing she thought of was if it could have been related to the food poisoning she came home from India with although it was a couple of weeks after that the headaches started.
This morning she just has a tension feeling in the vertex and occiput which she feels is a precursor to a headache. Unfortunately she took a Nux 30 this morning (she has her own Helios kit!!) when she woke after taking the 200 after her headache had started yesterday!!!

I am going away abroad tomorrow and am anxious to sort this one before I go. I read the MM on Silica that Venkat posted and she thought that most of it sounded very similar. She does have Silica 30 and 200 in. I will also make sure that she has some more Nux 200 before I go. I will speak to her this evening when I go round with them and see how she has fared today

Chilliness with pains and < afternoon - offhand might be Pulsatilla;
Knerr has Moschus and Calc for Coldness / chilliness with pains
I suggest going over Boericke-
Under Head - for headache concomitants -
there are the following rubrics_
Chilliness
Coldness in back and occiput
Coldness in head
Coldness in hands and feet
also
face pale

From a cursory analysis I would say Bell, Calc, Lach, Verat.alb,
Melilotus, Lob.inflata might be considered apart from Puls.

Headache, with pale face, with coldness, < afternoon is what you are
looking for.

Thru repertory Calc, Lach seem to come often...May be the Sulphur is
calling out for Calc...

the past 2 weeks except for at the weekend. I am having difficulty
getting much out of her as she doesn't really want to talk. I think
she is still working through the headache. This is all new. She had
a Sulphur 200 14th July which she has had before with no problems.
On 18th July she had some cystitis and took a Cantharis of her own
accord. I have studied sooo many Rx and can't find a suitable one.
I am obviously missing something? What other questions should I
ask.? (I have sent an email tonight to ask about if it is sudden or
gradual start/stop)

Thanks for that. As I have said before she often resonates between the SCaLy triad.The think that stopped me prescribing Calc was that it didn't have the photophobia which features heavily on this case.

Anyhow today the headache did not come on- there was just the feeling that it might. She looked very well and said she felt a lot better so I can only presume that the Nux Vom must have helped. Tomorrow she is having a day off. She will keep in touch with me while I am away.

I have dowsed PLATINA 1000 out of the list of 30-40 medicines
suitable for headache. Try this out. I am sure it will relieve her
of her longstanding ailment.

Thank you for that. I will consider this remedy for her although she
doesn't strike me as particularly Platina although her fear of
pregnancy is. Interesting!!!
