Rosemary, Carol, et al.
Intersting and thank you.
All this information tallies with what I see in the case and what the patient has told me.
Her allopathic drs have indicated to her that her allergies and/or low thyroid and/or diabetes may be the cause. But her recent tests show "normal" blood sugar, liver & thyroid function. (whatever that's worth)
Her eyes, while having quite dark, wide circles from eyebrows to under-eyes, she only has slight folds(bags) under the eyes. I feel kidney-liver is involved.
A polypharmacist here opinioned that it is common to Indians because of the veggie diet hence the lack of vit B12. While you might not go in for the polypharmacy, the remedies he chooses to treat with are interesting to note in light of the information we have discussed:
berberis
mancinella

Re: Dark circles around the eyes
Hello, I know you asked about allpathic dx for this but there are so many
remedies in the relevant rubrics (berberis being just one of them) that this
suggests many possible directions involving the blood, digestion, gland
function, nutrition, rheumatic, menopausal, even emotional. Very
interesting. Thanks. Kerry
