Well, that's interesting, thank you Dr. Shahrdar. I didn't know it. Do you remember the source of this information?
Best regards,
Maly

Dear Maly,

I remember this from different sources on history of
homeopathy and life of Hahnemann. Just had a quick
search on web to see if I remembered correctly.

It seems that it is correct; bronchitis.

'Hahnemann died (July 2, 1843) at the age of 88 after
a ten-week illness (bronchitis)'.

http://healthforeveryone.cc/page1c.html

If it is really important for you, I will check my
library to tell you the reliable source. I think that
it was also in a footnote by the editor in his Lesser
Writings... Can't remember now.

Regards,

Ardavan

Hi Maly,
Quote from Rima Handley in "A Homeopathic Love Story": "A few days after his eighty-eighth birthday, Hahnemann was taken ill with what at first seemed to be nothing more threatening than his annual bout of bronchitis; the condition had recurred every spring for about ten years and had always responded to Bryonia." p/153
In Chronic Diseases, in the description of Psora (footnote on p.90 in my Jain hardback edition) Hahnemann writes that he had "never been afflicted with the Psora and have, therefore, from my birth even until now in my eightieth year, been entirely free from the (smaller and greater) ailments enumerated here and further below, although I have been, on the whole, very apt to catch acute epidemic diseases and have been exposed to many mental exertions and thousand fold vexations of spirit".
Implication being that he didn't see his annual bouts of bronchitis as having anything to do with Psora, not even flare-up of psora, rather he defined it as "acute epidemic disease.".
Regards,
Vera
