But, I was taught that in an acute disease with a strong, quick pacing
and strong, clear symptom picture, high potency is needed to match the
energy of the disease. And I have numerous times seen this approach
work very well. Wouldn't this also be a situation of "higher
susceptibility", or do I misunderstand that part?

In strong illness and severe injury, I have seen 30c repeatedly work
less well (not so completely and not so lastingly) than 200c or 1M. I
have not tried using e.g. 6c and e.g. 1M on the same injury or illness;
maybe at some point I will be able to compare that directly.

It seems that this is another area where there are numerous
possibilities...??

Best,
Shannon

And (I was taught) can lower (tho likely not eliminate) the insulin
need, which in itself (I was told) lessens likelihood and severity of
complications.

Regarding chronic cases the degree of pathology (as this in a way represents
the vital force) would dictate potency selection, as well as the level of
sensitivity, and type of dis - ease.
So there are a number of variables. The law of similars also applies to
potency selection.
