Most interesting. I knew a musician who saw colors. The only time I
ever heard him say anything about it was once, when tuning up, he
complained that someone was not quite in tune. The other person
tried, and Richard said, "no. The B is still not in tune it's too
blue."

Dear Angela
Do people who see things in colours see them in the same colours? eg do you
see numbers in the same colours as Anton Smith (see list provided by him
below)? Just curious.

0 - Black
1 - White
2 - soft yellow
3 - orange
4 - pink
5 - bright red
6 - dark red
7 - Purple
8 - dark green
9 - dark brown

Willy, Hi.
There are yogic texts that would support the idea of the days having different colours, though I myself don't know which colours they would be.

Could what she's seeing be connected to some psychic-spiritual phenomena rather than a pathology?

Hi Didi and others

It might be that you are right, that it is some psychic-spiritual Phenomena
I have really no idea. The only thing I know, that she is quite happy with
it and does not want to loose it.
It is also not a heavy pathologic case. She has some problems with the hands
( rough, dry, with raggades) but talking about her 'being', this came up and
because I never heard of it, I was puzzled. Now it seems that she is not the
only one. Very intersting to read all the reactions
Besides that, reading the rx of anhalonium is also very interesting. So we
never stop learning.

Best regards Willy

I think everyone who has synaesthiathinks that everyone else perceives
the world they way they do, or very similarly. It is only when a
programme is shown on television, or someone reads a book or article
etc. that it becomes obvious that this is not the case.

I realised about 20 years ago when a programme on television led to
discussion with a friend, who also has synaestheia, saying to each other
"But, I thought that's everyone sees things". Like Anton, I have
particular colours identified with particular numbers (different ones of
course)and different letters - a name of a person is a colour pattern
and can be attractive or not.

Dear Willy,

It would probably be impossible for her to loose it - and it would be a
great shame if it somehow left her. It is not a disability, quite the
opposite.

I have read all your reactions and I wonder if it is quite the same.
It is not like: it is monday and now everything is white.
On the day itself all appears normal, but if she thinks of a day, she see a
liitle bar. A small part is for example grey (this is the day before the day
she is thinking about, then a bigger piece white (his is the days she is
thinking of) and then again another small piece (this is the day that
follows.

Is this the same?
