Interestingly, older nurses here call pneumonia " the old man's best
friend".

We too have the saying that pneumonia is the old man's friend, but as a
means of dying relatively easily, not as a way of experiencing a renewal
(apart from death being one, I suppose).

Since the discussion went astray from dr. Hamer to Louise Hay a bit, I did a
(quick) search on internet on the dr. Hamer-subject, and I am pretty sure
many of us will find some remarkable (and rather undeniable, it seems) facts
in the interview with him as cited on
http://www.neue-medizin.com/interv2a.htm (be sure to read part 2, too).
When reading more about Hamer you'll probably find, as I did, that he is not
an every-day person. But as a rule, ordinary people do no come up with very
extra-ordinary findings. And it seems, to me, that his findings are not that
very distant from what we know is true from a homeopatic perspective.

from Argentina. And with Hamer in mind, reflect a bit on why Krishnamurti
died of (liver) cancer.

Thanks for the replies. It seems to me that this fits so well with the
Kentian model of homeopathy - ie mental emotional symptoms causing physical
pathology, that any link between particular emotions and corresponding diseases
should be very useful to us all.
Giullermo, can you give any examples of cases where the illnesses tied up
with Hamers theories of an emotional cause, how you treated them.

Did your mother have any problem with your father or her parents?
Yes, her father (my grandfather) had an accident, and she was very worried about
that.
How could you know? Well, there is a Dr. Hamer that has a theory .......

This is all very interesting. To see the distillation of the enquiries of
busy minds on this matter is productive. Have you ever considered that what
you are proposing fits in very well with:
1) The macrobiotic philosophy that arrogance is the severest of all
illnesses because it can lead to all other diseases including cancer
2) The meridian hypothesis of acupuncture
3) The chakra hypopthesis of ayuverdic medicine
4) and in a way the herbalists' wholistic theory of inflammatory diseases
such as R.A. which basically says that arrogance, anger and - basically
friction - is a direct cause of these issues.
5) The general functional medicine wholistic concept that prolonged or
recurring emotional distress causes an exhaustion process of the HPA
axis --> underproduction of adrenal hormones --> exhaustion of pituitary
trophic hormones --> exhaustion of hypothalamic trophic hormones --> immune
system collapse --> systemic infection --> generalised inflammatory
response --> free radicle dominance --> disease state and cancer.

So it all fits
