yes there are many but we are referring to the homeopathic limulus - even
Boericke calls it the 'horsefoot crab'. There is also a great deal of debate
whether they are crabs at all - some put them in the spider family I believe
- so yes, a small point.

Yes Joy Sankaran has achieved that. I agree it is wonderful to absorb new
ideas and experience new methods. Sankaran has based his work on sound
Materia medica and provings and what he has contributed to the understanding
of the psycodynamic crisis behind each remedy is profound. I did one of his
courses in Goa and I learnt a lot- and no I have not lost my Materia medica
or my case taking skills or my repertory, I have just added more skills.

homeopathy are the differences between humans. So we have to know what kind of
human we have in front of us for being able to treat him/her.
This (polychrest) classification thing is the one in the first place which
has to be found, otherwise even repertorisation will not work or will be much
more dificult.

I told you, to pick the person out of the blue - what he actually is, to what
big or small group he belongs in the first place, than differentiate further.
After this step, repertorisation starts. The succesion is but this one and
not viceversa.
Homeopathy is essentially REALISING what one sees/hears from the patient,
lucidity is a word I very much love. So the "film" starts rolling as soon as the
patient walks in (even before, from the phone sometimes) and starts talking or
whatever, the way he sits, the way he is dressed, etc., different gestures he
is making, what car he is driving, colour of car and make, colour of dress
and make, styled or not, you name it, everything counts, every little detail.
You have to "radiography" him, to see through him, in order to get to know him,
because it is him you treat not his disease, him as a whole. How could one get
to know him otherwise but by this way = THIS is classical homeopathy!
Of paramount importance are 2 other things, which actually everyone
participating here, should by now well know, because they belong to the very basics :
being able to LISTEN to the patient, letting him talk freely in the first place
WITHOUT interruption and then do NOT ask suggestive questions. The patient is
always upset inside, this is the reason why he is coming, otherwise he will
not come, so it is crucial to let him talk. I always start with the simplest
question ever : so, what's up? or what brought you actually here? And then here
they come, like Niagara pouring out ... I often have problems keeping the pace
with my own writing. Questioning starts later, after 20-30min, after he told
you all he feels he had too and he feels at ease. Then you progress step by
step, following or not the Künzli scheme, which I used to apply in the early
years and which can be recommended. Now I am going a little bit faster.
So You see, the repertory plays in the first half an hour at least if not
more, absolute no role. It comes into the game when the first interview is
finished or so.

One has to start very "early", so the first step would be to figure out if he
belongs to one of the very big groups - luesinics or tuberculinics or so.
This information will already make your life much easier, because many remedies
will not have to be considered any more. So with one chop, so to speak, you
already make good progress. Than you go to the polychrest and than - if needed
and using the repertory - to the small remedy he needs NOW. Than you talk to him
again in a while - depending on the first prescription. And so on.
