Is there a hormone connection for men who get CT?

Re: eczema in baby- more info
Firstly thank you to everyone who has joined in the discussion of
this case. I have printed out all suggestions to refer to if needed.
The latest is that after going to the Doctor today Mum was told to
put the child back on Cows milk formula rather than the soy to see
yet again if the eczema gets any worse. This I approve of. He said
that the child was too young for allergy testing as his immune
system isn't built up yet (and won't be if he carries on having
vaccinations _ sorry I had to get that in!!) Mum disagrees because
of the obvius allergy to the dogs.
Last night the child was crying and had a green runny stool so Mum
sensibly gave him a dose of Cham. and according to her had the best
sleep for a while!! Because he slept and didn't scratch the eczema
was no worse this morning. He did wake at 2.30pm because he was cold
and mum wrapped him in a sleeping bag and he went straight back to
sleep again. I discussed my Lyco theory with Mum and she thought it
very interesting. She also confirmed that she had stopped breast
feeding before she took the last dose of Lyco. I am not going to
prescribe at the moment as we want to wait until the weekend to see
if he catches his sister's chicken pox or not. Mum will keep me
informed of his progress or not. Mum also told me that she bathes
him in luke warm water and he is in the bath for about 1/2 hour
which sooths his skin. She puts either oatmilk in the water or
Oilatum.
All the best

There must be something other than cow's milk to put him on -- it's such a
common allergen! (Both of mine were allergic to both soy and cow milk!)

I've heard that there are two cow's milk alternatives: one is regular
pasteurized milk dosed with "lactase enzyme".... and unpasteurized,
fresh milk: commonly called 'raw' milk. A local brand name in the usa
for the first kind is Lactaid. I live with a toddler who reacts badly to
cow's milk and hates soy, but does okay on the lactaid one. But because
of the problems since his weaning at one year, he's become used to
drinking water, weakened juices and weak caffeine-free teas, so he
doesn't use much of the substitute milk. Good, I think: he's doing just
fine.
Raw milk can be very difficult to find any more here in the usa. (an
aside....I have found raw milk cheese though.. it's expensive enough and
comes in very small blocks, that it's not too likely to overdose or
~ supersize it ~ ). We used to get raw milk commonly at health food
stores and co-ops back in the day, but I haven't seen it in stores
around here in years. Might access a friendly farmer, though....
There are also those who say that since any animal milk is made
specifically for that particular animal's babies, ours don't need it and
don't thrive on it. They point out that humans are the only animal that
drinks milk after weaning. I'm just reporting this part-- I haven't seen
enough to know how true that is. I'm sure they must also have alternate
suggestions.
Cheers,
Nafisa

Your last paragraph is my sentiments exactly!!! But as the child is
only 5 months old milk is its main source of nourishment. I
encourage parents with children who have allergies to leave off milk
as soon as their children are having a good diet.

Most of us are sensitive to the pasteurized milk, but can manage raw milk

in whey, lactose, vitamin C, niacin, and long-chain polyunsaturated fatty
acids compared to cow's milk but leaner in casein (milk protein). The
addition of gelatin to cow's milk formula will make it more digestible for
the infant. Use only truly expeller-expressed oils in the formula recipes,
otherwise they may lack vitamin E.
The ideal milk for baby, if he cannot be breastfed, is clean, whole raw
milk from old-fashioned cows, certified free of disease, that feed on green
pasture. For sources of good quality milk, see www.realmilk.com or contact
a local chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
If the only choice available to you is commercial milk, choose whole milk,
preferably organic and unhomogenized, and culture it with a piima or kefir
culture to restore enzymes (available from G.E.M. Cultures 707-964-2922)."
Hope this helps...

My son ended up on sheep's milk as he was allergic to cow's and goat's
milk ............. We got organic sheep milk and yogurt.

Re: eczema in baby- more info
Your last paragraph is my thoughts exactly!!!! The baby is only 5
months old and his major doiet is still milk. Can you believe that
the doctor actually said that a real cow's milk allergy is very
rare!!! Anyway as far as I am concerned the eczema was vaccine
induced!! Some have said use the vaccine in potency but since the
child is a bonny , happy child I don't feel I want to go there.
