Hi Feras,

"Vishhudi chakra" is a new term to me. (Would that also be called the "throat chakra"?) How does one know if this is working well (other than not having a cold etc.), and if dowsing isn't going well, how might one make it
(the chakra?) work better?

Hello Shannon,
Vishuddhi is the Indian term for the 5th chakra, i.e. throat chakra. When it works well, we can have good connection to our world, we can sense the vibrations. If you hold your palm in front of your throat pit (left, right, and centre) 10 centimetres away from the body, you will know about the chakra. If you feel warmth it is sick and if you feel cool breeze it is healthy. Also the 2nd fingers (the fingers next to the thumbs) indicate Vishuddhi chakra. If you feel warmth, heaviness, pain, tingling, etc there, the chakra is not working well. Please go to www.sahajayoga.org and http://sahajayoga.org/chakrasandsubtlebody/default.asp to learn more.

Does the pendulum need to be made of anything in particular? (I'm guessing not?)
I have read that it differs. Mine is wooden but I think metal is more suitable. Please search the web to get the correct answer.

Best wishes, Feras

It depends on the dowser. All I have seen use counterclockwise

Freudian slip? I assume that the plan was *doused* in water before
being *dowsed* for water!

I assume that some problems will be common between dowsing and muscle
testing, e.g. that "yes" (unless question is better framed) is a relative
term! You need a way to specify what sort of help you want from the remedy,
or how helpful you expect it to be, to draw that "yes". E.g., do will you
settle for "a little helpful to my left knee, tho I might not actually
notice any difference", or do you not want that "yes" unless the remedy will
bring a full simillimum response, relief to all systems which will last an
appropriate time, etc.? Or will you settle for something in between? Your
question needs to specify. I think with proper "tweaking" that ought to be
do-able.

Dear Julian,
LOL ! As you said its the user's own ESP doing the thing, the modalities can
be as different.
Now I remember my friends words. You should define the terms for yes and no.
Say to and fro
is no and clockwise rotation as yes and your quartz pendulum does it.

At domestic level a golden chain was used to find out the number of children
and whether
male or female by dowsing on the palm of the person.
I have known many things from kerosene stove to a sieve do the job of a
dowser to help the
women in locating the thief or just to know whether the angry son or husband
would return
at all that day.
Taking this line of thought to a serious level, once Swami Vivekandanda told
his American
disciple that he could teach him to read another's mind in a few minutes and
also put a
proviso :' if you think it will help you in your progress to discover
yourself ' the student
declined the offer.
Regards
Venkat

For a clearer channel, it is best to use a clear quartz.
If using a colored stone, or mineral, the client may not need that particular
stones or mineral. It also coats the treatment, for example you are coating
with a rose quartz, so it may be a softer reading then the normal clear cut
diagnosis.
