Dear Steve and everyone who answered me publicly and privately

Thank you all for your great responses to my query. The British Institute of
Homeopathy seems to be a very popular choice, and so I have been to look at
the website.

There is only one thing that perplexes me. More than one private message I
received has said, or strongly implied, that you need to be a religious
christian to study at the B.I.H or at least the one in America, where I am
based at present. I have been told that most of the discussions between
students and tutors are to do with the bible and religious interpretations
of healing and that they have priests for tutors. I personally would not be
drawn to this kind of thing. I didn't know that homeopathy was a religious
thing for some people, certainly my uncle didn't teach it to me that way!
The B.I.H seems a good choice for me in some ways but I am worried as I
don't want my learning to become indoctrinated by someone else's system of
belief. I have no problem with anyone's desire to worship, I have to add. I
just don't want to do it myself.

I will keep looking, and thank you all again for your help.

You might also look into Caduceus Institute's distance learning program, which I found to be excellent. Willa Keizer is an outstandingly effective teacher and a wonderful mentor. The website is: www.homeopathyhome.com/caduceus

That cannot be possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am an Atheist Taoist Jew, and a tutor at the BIH...........I do not think I would be allowed there if this was the case.

HI Anne
I studied with The British Institute and just finished my post grad,
religion has never come up, I was raised a catholic and at the moment I have
as my believe system just that my believe system and it has nothing to do
with any organized religion, I do not know who told you this, I can assure
you these people are misinformed.
Regards and welcome

Dear Anna,
I have worked and studied with the BIH and this is no where near the
truth. May I ask where you have heard that? The students of BIH have a
study group that was started by one of the students. It is a student owned
group operated for and by the students. The discussions there are open on
all topics within the range of homeopathy.
If you have any other questions I would be more than happy to assist you.
Donna

And the last BIH student sitting in my clinics was a Buddhist.

The BIH Course in the USA is run by Maria Bohle. I have no idea what
her belief system is, but I am sure she does not let it intrude into
her business.
I have know Maria for almost ten years and find her to have the
utmost amount of integrity. I was happy to know that she took over
the BIH program because she really does understand homeopathy and
what is needed to practice it well. She is, also, a damn fine
prescriber.

Whatever persons wrote you those messages really owe the whole list
an explanation for passing on such damaging and hurtful information.
