I agree.
Thank you! :)
This is absolutely correct, as she told me to "save money" her family has
been using rock salt instead of iodized salt and no multi vitamin.
She also is from the goiter belt, the Midwest. :)
Right on the money. :)

P.S. She also had a history of being intentionally overdosed by
radioactivity by an inept radiologist before her goiter appeared, in a cat
scan.

Hi Sheri,
Iodine is a necessary nutrient.
Most people in the Midwest only eat beef and potatoes, rarely any
vegetables.
I would imagine if fish from the sea weighs heavily in one's diet, you
wouldn't need to have extra iodine.
Love, Alva :)

Hi Alva, Sheri,

Let me chip in here on the issue of dietary regimen and iodine.

Hypothyroidism is rampant in the USA and I suspect everywhere else,
especially in middle-aged people. Whereas blood tests will only reveal
really obvious cases, in actuality people can be hypothyroid subclinically
and blood test will not show it.

Here are some ways to find out:

1. Basal temperature: Most people with hypothyroid will also have low basal
temperature. Some of them extremely low basal temperature. Monitor this
early morning and then sometime mid morning and mid afternoon and get a
baseline. ŒNormal¹ metabolism enjoys a basal temperature in the 98.6 +-
range. Hypothyroidism will often have temperaturres well bellow the 97
degrees. I have seen some with 95.5.
2. Paint some regular iodine (drug store kind) on the belly, make a stain
about the size of a silver dollar. Saturate the stain well. Then watch and
see how soon the stain completely disappears. People who are not lacking
iodine will still have the stain visible 24 hours later. Hypothyroid people
who are lacking iodine will see the stain vanish very soon, sometimes within
30 minutes of painting it on! I have seen continued painting of iodine like
this also improve iodine in the system.

The iodized salt has actually acted to deplete us from good organic iodine,
as the iodine they add to salt is a chloride of iodine and thus toxic. One
has to consume good iodine, such as in seaweed and untempered sea salt in
order to feed the thyroid. I have seen Œmiracles¹ happen when the right
iodine is taken up by the body. I used to suggest Lugol¹s iodine, but
recently obtained some purified iodine which is far superior and a dose of 1
drop per day has made a remarkable difference for hypothyroidism, along with
Thyroidinum 4C as an organ support.

I am very glad to hear Alva¹s story about the goiter. I have a client who
came in with an enlarged left lobe of the thyroid gland, that has been
tested and examined by the MD¹s, who have no idea what she has, as there is
no malignancy and her blood tests show Œnormal¹ thyroid function. She does
not rep at all as either Iodine or Thyroidinum, and now I am going to try
the painting trick with Lugol¹s iodine and I will report back to you all.

Great Sara!
She is still reporting great energy, better breathing, and feeling better
overall.
She had fibro myagia symptoms which she says are leaving as her goiter is
shrinking, so her pains must have been thyroid related too.
Love, Alva :)
