Hi VTY,

I have a (long-past) patient with genetic iron overload (I forget the name
of the condition), who was also a picture-perfect calc-c (and responded
beautifully to it). I lost touch with this person long ago, so have no idea
whether the remedy affected his iron retention, but am curious how you would
approach this situation -- in your experience *might* a well-fitting other
remedy decrease the iron load, or if not, would you give puls in addition?

If you would, how would you handle potency and repetition?

Thanks!
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
Iron overload could be caused by either genetic factors
(hemochromatosis) or by abuse of iron supplements in
mega doses. In the former case the smm chosen on a detailed
case taking would greatly help the patients. Lyc and symph
have helped me so far in treating such a case. The other type
is a drug disease and it is in such cases that I found puls
act as a specific and obviously in these cases the smm
has to be followed after treating them a while with puls.
Potency I give is 200c dry on the tongue and repetetion
depends on the response in each individual case.
hope this helps,
V.T.Yekkirala.
