Dear Shannon
I just came across all these seizure posts and with interest have
studied all the replies. It occurs to me that perhaps your patients
sexual history has not been explored as I see pts that have seizures
directly related to sexual activity and sexual anxiety. Both usually
equal the wrong partner and sometimes a seizure occurs during
masturbation. Young sexual abuse cases can present petit to grand
seizures and is appropriate as a way to survive. Teens and twenties
are stressful in poor relationships, and the fifties, well there was
the mention of menopause (oestrogen glitchs) so maybe something there.
As these topics are still taboo it is good to pry quietly. I would
not be to interested in the EEG etc. I am also not saying that this
is so, just perhaps overlooked in the diagnosis. Also take a deep
look at bufo (low dose) as preventative-cure.
Thanks for the opportunity to share.

Re: Seizure question
Hi (name?),
That aspect (long-past sexual abuse) is in the case, but seizure problems
apparently predate it. Also the worsening of the attacks is many years
after any of that, so there doesn't seem to be a connection.
Thanks so, I will be sure to keep it in mind.
To update (I've been soooooo over-spread, falling behind!), she decided to
stop the nat-m, because she was nervous that that might have contributed to
the last two seizures; I also was a little nervous about that. But perhaps
it has already done its part, as she is mentally and emotionally *much*
better! She actually sounds like her old self, for the first time in many,
many, many months. So for now, I guess I am "on hold", until she's ready to
try some more.
But thank you SO MUCH to all who shared their ideas!!!! If I have missed
thanking some folks individually, I *apologize*, because really, it was *so*
helpful, for both practical ideas when and supportive encouragement, when I
was feeling really flustered and overwhelmed.
Best to all!
