Question from a client
On another note, we found out last night that our kids we were with a
child
on Saturday night that now has chicken pox, apparently they can get a
vaccination that may reduce the symptoms if they did contract it. Is
there a remady that might prevent it also? Or even lesson the effects?
Do not know the children to give constitutional but would Variolinum
be appropriate. I only have it in a 200c. Thank you Jean

No..........why would you think Variolinum?
Many would love to have their children get chickenpox naturally.
There are many remedies to help with the illness if it happens.

Hi Jean,
Variolinum, being the smallpox nosode, may not be the most helpful. If you have it, Varicellinum, the chickenpox nosode, would be better.
Failing that, Rhus-t, Puls, Ant-c and even Ant-t are useful remedies for both the prevention and treatment of chickenpox. Of course, the best of these will be the one that most closely matches the childs state.
Even if the child does come down with the chickenpox, symptoms are likely to be very mild if a prophylactic has been given beforehand, as I have recently seen with one of my people. The child had been given Varicellinum prophylactically 3 months before catching chickenpox. There were only 3 vesicles, diagnosed by their doctor who said it was the mildest case of chickenpox he had ever seen. This is consistent with the limited historical accounts we have on instances of disease following prophylaxis.
Would you keep us updated regarding what happens with this child? Having an interest in prophylactics, I would like to capture the info of the outcome for my records.

It is possible that they will not be happy unless they do something as Mum and Dad will not agree Both parents working and anxiety levels high. . In that case would variolinum not be the lesser of 2 evils I can certainly advise. Thank you Jean

What's wrong with having chicken pox? It's about the only disease left that kids are able to get!! After chicken pox, kids grow physically and mentally. I have seen this time and time again and parents have remarked on it. There are plenty of remedies to cope with chicken pox if necessary but patients of mine have had it very mildly and have not needed any remedies at all as their immune system having already been boosted in the past with a constitutional remedy copes with it well!!
If kids are not able to have childhood diseases their immune system never learns to work properly which is why there is an incidence of enlarged thymus glands at puberty and over which is the stage at which it should be shrinking!!

A few months ago, my daughter brought 2 pets at home: a very little kitten, oh so cute, and the chickenpox virus.
Both were very welcome.
She stayed home, needed only 2 doses of Rhus Tox at some very itchy moments and that was it.
Other parents at her school told me there was a local mini-epidemic, nobody made a fuss about it, kids stayed home and compared their dots..........

Indeed Rochelle what is wrong with having chickenpox?
Both of my kids had it, and it was not that bad even when the poor child was covered with blisters.
They immune system got a good workout and for sure I noticed a big difference after the disease was over.
During the itchy phase oatmeal baths really helped.
Fill a clean sock with 1/2 to 1 cup of oatmeal and run hot water over it while running a bath.
The water will be cloudy and a bit slimy, it's the colloidal oatmeal that is also used in creams such as Aveno.
Bathing in such water is very soothing and the itchy is much better.
Of course the oatmeal bath will not cure but it helps temporarily to ease the itching and calm the child down
I hope this helps
