20.6.4.
There is no such AIDS miasm. This is bullshit. The only thing to be done is
the giving of the genuine constitutional remedy, constantly, in slightly higher
dosage than average, in other words strenghten the front against the
outspreading /outbreaking of the disease as such. Sometimes it works and the disease
does not outbreak. But only sometimes. Additional there are of course several
other important non-homeopathic measures to be taken. But this is another
story.
Kind regards, Dr.medic. Viorel V. Bucur (

I've had a couple of experiences with HIV+ patients. As with any other situation, the case analysis can be possible or impossible, depending on how tuned in to his/her symptoms the patient might be. As with other deep, complex diseases, treatment can be quite demanding, with rapidly changing symptom pictures requiring frequent revision of the remedy picture.
Since AIDS is definitely a contagious disease, whatever its cause, it can plausibly be considered a miasm. In addition, several good thinkers have started to elaborate its essence, emotionally and physically. It seems to sit near the syphilitic miasm, with some miasmatic elements of leprosy and some of tuberculosis. Two excellent and informative books on the subject are:
Aids: The Homeopathic Challenge, by Jonathan Stallick, published 1996 by Riddle Press in Settle, North Yorkshire, England.
The AIDS Miasm: Contemporary Disease and New Remedies, Peter Fraser, published 2002 by Biddles, Guildford, England.
(I wonder how coincidental it is that these two publishers' names rhyme!!)

that is a big quetion I treat HIV and you treat for the symptoms and "like"
state the same as anything else in homoeopathy / it does not matter about
the disease. Except that with HIV you need to always be on hand as there are
always small emergency type things like the patient will wake up with eczema
one day over their whole body and then mouth ulcers the next or any other
possible immune compromised range of conditions..

Ffollowing on from Rosemary's books recommendations, I can add a few that might be of use and adding to the AIDS as a miasm debate.
Indications of the Miasm, by Dr Jarimoham Choudhury, B Jain Publishers reprinted in 1999. He views AIDS as a new venereal viral miasm, just as syphilis & sycosis are bacterial venereal miasms.
The AIDS Miasm, Contemporary Disease and the New Remedies, by Peter Fraser, Winter Press, Pub 2002, ISBN 1 874581 231
Signatures and Miasms, AIDS - Spiritual aspects of Homeopathy, by Misha Norland, Yondercott Press, Pub 2004, ISBN 0 9544766 03 (reviewed in the summer 2004 edition of homeoapathic links)
Lets us not forget that hoary old chestnut (and I personally feel highly objectionable, and often scurrelous and innacurate)
H L Coulter, AIDS and Syphilis the Hidden Link, North Atlantic Books, Pub 1987, ISBN 1 55643 021 3
Good reading...
For my own treatment of PWA's and reasearch with homeoapaths in the UK who have some experience, individualisation is the right approach, with tautopathy and therapuetics as needed. When the time is right (and this is often difficult to tell when a PWA is on Complex Antiretroviral Therapy) then I have placed two patients on Peter Chappells LM remedy, and they seem to be doing well.
The answer to the question about how how do you know (if I understand the question rightly) when persons immune system is shot and they start to develop AIDS. In the UK one tends to use the immunological markers derived from standard medical practice, ie the CD4 count declines below 200, the Viral Load (I think the BHIVA Guidelines say start ARV's at 50,000) and the older measure of the CD4/CD8 ratio (inversion = trouble).
I hope this helps a bit????

A review of the book will appear in the July issue of NewZ. It was
reviewed by Bruce Barwell, the most senior homeopath in NZ. It is not
a very complementary review.

				Hi all,
Thanks for the informative responses i will go through the websites soon.
The reply's are well informative , writen from expierance so true to
the core and as usuall with any other question answer on the list
contradicting each other from my point or view theis contradiction is
part of homeopathy so we must be used to it and make good of all the
postive and negative opinions to that of yours so that homeopathy as a
whole develop.
Now i asked this AIDS ques. as we came across a couple who where
diagnosed as hiv postive during the screaning for the antenatal's at the
9th mnt of gestation. Before being diagnosed the couple where living
healthy except an accident in which a fire broke which caused a fiancal
loss to the husband, which made him more worried and irritable and more
indifferent that usuall.
The pt X's possible exposure was some what six yrs back. He till
his wife was pregnant used to drink and smoke 20 cigrates a day, as she
was expecting and after a quarrel he stopped drinking as wife Y
treatened to leave him. he used to smoke till 2 mnts back after which he
stared to become weak got emaciated , with loss of appetite , thirst
etc. He is only able to take fruit juices and tender coconut these days.
Wife is healthy and going well and the child is 5mnts old and to avoid
risk ceassarian operation was done.

Before treating my first HIV case I spent hours re-reading my college notes
on the subject and Jonathan Stalics book 'Aids the homeopathic chalenge', but
when the patient came he was so secretive, so clearly a Thuja case it was
probably one of the easiest cases I have ever treated. His sole reason for not
wanting the HIV drugs was that he did not want people to know he was HIV+ I
started the case with a sequence of Acconite,Arsenicum, Stramonium and Opium in
high potency, (one remedy per day for 4 days) for the obvious and
understandable fear, This calmed him wonderfully, then gave him Thuja 6, 3 times/day
for a month. His fevers, sore throat and his Psoriasis cleared up in a few
days. We have lost touch now, but he stayed healthy for several years with the
ocaisional repetition of the thuja 6 tds and the ocaisional precautionary
influenzinum or Oscillococcinum 30 during flu season.
Jonathan's book is excellent, but if any of you find the above prescribing
alarming you wil not like it

				Hi Jeremy,
That's wonderful to hear about! But I'm curious why you did not feel that
the thuja alone would clear up his fears--I would have expected it to
(covers various sorts of fear and anxiety, including "anxiety about the
future", "fear of impending disease", "...of misfortune", "...of an
ordeal"...) I also wonder why give a high potency only one day to act? I
find it *really* hard to believe that he needed *all* of those remedies
(since I have never yet seen any "need" multiple remedies once the "right"
remedy was given).
The outcome sounds good, but I'm curious to understand the reasoning behind
the method?
(Perhaps you/he assume that a 6c would not reach into the level of the
fears, but in my experience if the remedy is correct, it *will*!)
Thanks for sharing this,
Shannon
