corroboration of strangely DOS-centric "remedy picture" data which are
apparently unsupported by MM.

I'm about 95% postitive that all homeopathy lists everywhere have at least
on ST acolyte monitoring and reporting to the mothership (fathership?)

If you ever personally subscribed to such oddity, I hope you're over it by
now. I would've hoped that David's class would've cured you.

If you're not, I'd be happy to discuss it with you, providing that I not be
accused of personal attack if and when your points are terminally refuted.

All sorta tongue-in-cheek along the lines of the superman allusion, but
seriously, the fact that the ST bible was snatched from my grip pretty much
proves to me that what I've read & heard of ST leaves it clearly outside the
realm of homeopathy.. the fact that it exists and is being perpetrated on
innocents really doesn't do much toward making me feel that the world is
safe again for honest folk, but c'e la vie. Some folk's karma must include
the need to be massively overdosed with potentized medicinal substances
given in routinist fashion. So long as its not being promoted as homeopathy
(let alone the One True Full Medical Sytem of S. Hahnemann) on homeopathy
e-lists, there's nothing much I can do about it. I would if I could.

I agree with you that the ST gang was a terrible plague.
It was a yeoman effort refuting their tag-team.
I should be very sad to have to do it all over again, but as you've noticed,
I scrupulously avoid personal insults, except of course those that are
utterly implausible .. I would never in a million year have suspected that
flowing & flowery were insults. I think they are quite nice.
I think that Joy is a great homeopath and a good writer too, if not always
quite nice.

The first time she chose to ridicule me was on the PTSD thread, when I was
sharing personal knowledge.
Jumped on my like a cat with all claws digging in.
Right afterwards, she went offlist - I posted her privately wishing her well
and expresing hope for her speedy return.
As I recall she made some sort of apology and mentioned personal
difficulties.
Fine, no hard feelings.

At least not on MY side.. or at least not until the ridicule starts anew.
I believe this all began with a rather innocent request on my part for

I take this as tacit admission that questioning and requesting sources is in
your view, standard operating procedure.
I'll go back and find the post in question and see if I can understand the
problem you seem to percieve.

When I was at college learning about techniques in case-taking, I learned
something so incredibly useful that it's served me brilliantly ever since --
not just in case-taking, but in everything I do in life. It's one of the
most sure-fire ways of using the mirror of life to greatest effect.

It's this: whatever pushes our buttons reveals an aspect of ourselves that
we've suppressed, denied, rejected or projected. (And whatever we're drawn
to sympathise with, "side" with, identify with, or champion are the parts of
ourselves we're acting out of.) These aspects of the psyche demand
acceptance and integration, and they won't let us off the hook until we do
that work. However unpleasant it might be to acknowledge our shadow selves
in the person of whoever's pushing our buttons, failure to do so means that
this element stays in shadow and continues, like the tail wagging the dog,
to try to get our attention. And if it eventually has to bring us to a
grinding halt and shout at us in the language of symptoms, it will.

IMO as healers we have a duty to be scrupulously honest with ourselves and
pay as much attention to our own healing (= making whole) as we do to our
patients. Otherwise our shadow selves will eventually find a way to disrupt
our work -- not to mention our lives.

Dave used to push my buttons too. Then I realised that by trying to get him
to conform to *my* standards of behaviour, I was doing exactly the same
thing as him. By ranting at him about his various prejudices, I was no less
prejudiced than him. By championing the cause of whoever happened to be his
"victim", I was acting out of my own victim mentality.

EVERYONE we meet in life has a gift of great value for us -- if we can but
appreciate it. Trying to ban Dave is nothing more than an attempt to
continue to deny the "Dave" within. When society demands "niceness",
political correctness and Orwellian double-speak to the extent of
suppressing the idiosyncracies of individual expression, it's sanctioning
collusion with "poor me" pathology on a massive scale. That's no more
"collegiate" than Dave's style of communication. We need people like Dave to
show us this.

Personally I find Dave a breath of fresh air ... or occasionally a
gale-force wind . (I don't agree with many things he says, but that's
OK. He's entitled to his opinions, and I've got a perfectly good [Del] key.)
He's taught me more about what it means to be an unprejudiced observer than
anyone else I know. I'm very glad he's on these lists.

Wendy that is a fundamental truth your talking about, we are like a mirror
onto the world reflecting our inner most self back to us.
I also agree fully with your thoughts about Dave. THere are always two sides
to every story. So where do we stop; do we consider removing those others
(my self included) who have been on the opposite end of a thought or
philosophy contrary to Dave's opinion. He does bring to the table a depth of
knowledge and experience which he is willing to share, which is
magnificantly more than a lot of the lurkers are doing. And Dave I know your
reading this, maybe you could be a little more diplomatic with the Nat mur
states. With your command of the english language, I know you are very
capable to do so.
