Dear David,

No point in arguing with someone who not only has such a deep knowledge of
our homeopathic paradigm, but on top of that has also a tremendous clinical
experience (with LM's). So I fully take yours (an others) word for the fact
that a mechanical repetition of a LM's is not a clever thing to do.
Amen to that.
My only point was merely that, on the base of the 6th edition of the
Organon, one could get very easy confused about this repetition matter of a
dose.
If only Hahnemann would have added in one of the quoted text an other
subordinate clause - of which he was such a frequent user - saying
something like "but be careful when administrating a daily dose, because
this can cause ... etc...." this confusion wouldn't have occurred.
But anyhow: relying on solid experience should be our first rule and all
those experiences about LM indeed point in the same direction: daily
repetition of LM's can be harmful so don't use it mechanically.
Amen to that.

clear on all the details. Hahnemann only used the LMs for a few years when
he wrote the 6th edition and was still in the process of working out the
system. If he would have lived longer we would have had the 7th Organon and
more information. The first discussion of the LM posology is in aphorism
246. He makes it very clear that any strikingly progressive amelioration is
a sign that the single dose should be allowed to act without repetition.
These are fast moving cases. The second part of the aphorism 246 discusses
slow moving case that would take 50 to 100 days to show solid improvement.

In these slow moving cases he says the remedy may be repeated at
suitable intervals to speed the cure to 1/2 to 1/4 the time it would take
on a single dose. He says one must use their "experience" to assess what
those intervals are. In the footnote to 247 he brings up the idea of
repeating even deep acting remedies daily, *when necessary*. In 248 he
gives further examples of how to treat slow moving cases. All these
statement apply to slow moving cases not fast moving cases. The problem is
that many are missing the distinction he is making in aph. 246 between
cases in which there is strikingly progressive amelioration vs cases in
which there is only slow ameliorations.

Many are taking Hahnemann's comments about the daily and alternate day
dose out of context and do not realize that anytime there is a strikingly
progressive amelioration from single test dose or a test series of 3 to 7
split-doses the remedy should be stopped. When there is a strikingly
progressive amelioration the remedy should be stopped. If the patient
shows good improvement the repetitions of the remedy should be slowed down.
At the first signs of aggravation the remedy should be stopped. Hahnemann
gave almost as much placebo as medicine to his patients! There are no cases
in the Paris casebook where he gave the daily dose for weeks, months and
years on end. He made the patient come back every 1 or 2 weeks and then
adjusted the dose and repetition or stopped the remedy a gave placebo for 1
or 2 weeks. He often used single olfaction of the LM and liquid placebo and
had the patient come back in one week, etc.. That is how Hahnemann practiced.

prepare LM potencies, I have taken the approach described below using an
aqueous media. Would you or others, more versed with this, care to make a
comment on my methodology or are there others who have alrady established a
similar well founded protocol in the aqueouas media.

Liquid preparations of the LM potencies.

Starting with a pharmaceutical LM1 and working forward.

To produce the Mother Potency (MP) for LM creation, we start from a 3C
remedy. 3C = a

dilution factor of 10 , 1 drop of this 3C is diluted in 499 drops of
water a dilution of 5x10 .

MP dilution factor is then 5x10 + 10 = 5x10 . The LM1 production
involves 1 ml of MP

diluted in 99ml of solvent. LM 1dilution is now 5x10 + 10 = 5x10 .
Succussed 100X and

dropped over 500 pillules = LM1 pillule. This action produces a dilution of
5x10 for each and any of the 500 pillules that may be used to prepare

Preparation of LM potencies for patients using 120 ml bottles:

To Prepare LM 2 - take one LM1 in pillule form.
