You ought to be able to get a discount if you’re a student. Typically, students buy a less comprehensive version of either program and upgrade as they go along. Wish a single purchase would last a lifetime, but it doesn’t. Computer systems change and often won’t run older programs, so you’re forced to upgrade.

Peace,
Dale

Yep, not a lifetime…

Though if you can keep your computer going for a long time—or at least (as I’m doing) keep using the old one for the homeopathy—you can go a good decade or so between upgrades, if you want to. Eventually a time comes when the old computer needs something that isn’t available any more, but until that happens, why change?

HI Dale. you remembered :)
I am a student right now, Just started Homeopathic college for my CCH.

I just thought with the computer versions being expensive maybe the companies gave you a half off deal if you have bought there version already and have to switch computers.... OR

Also I thought maybe since the program has been purchased and the program is in the old computer it could be downloaded into the new computer..
I have programs from other things I have bought (Not Homeopathic) that would transfer to new computers with no problem....
I have always had Mac Computers and most any computer needs up graded almost every 5 years sometimes you can go to 8 years...and that would get expensive to buy a New Mac Computer on top of buying a new program...

So every 5 to 8 years to purchase a Mac for 1800.00 then to purchase a whole new program for 3000.00 to 5000.00. YIKES!!

If you bought MacRep or Radar previously, you should get a substantial discount. Don’t know what the percentage is off the top of my head, but it’s definitely not like buying the program for the first time. None of us could afford to do that!

Talk to the rep of whatever program you wish to buy and see what kind of package works best for you and what kind of deal they can give you. There’s not a lot of wiggle room in their pricing, but maybe you can persuade them otherwise, especially if you combine with other students to press for the best possible price.

Peace,
Dale

Yep, upgrading is cheaper than initial purchase! Call them and ask.

And there might be a way you can move the same software onto another computer; also worth asking them! (I’m still using my software from maybe ten years ago, on my just-prior computer, so not exactly sure what the situation is these days, but you should definitely ask them!)

The Complete is a rental. So up front it is cheap. But in the long run, it may cost more.
