Minutus

I attended a seminar by Dr Ramakrishnan on cancer in which he presented a
small summary of his clinical treatment of 3000+ cancer patients. He uses
plussing method alternating week about - nosode with either constitutional
or rx specific for area of disease. He may also use low potency or tincture
as organ support, and pain relief rx for palliation - depending on stage of
cancer.

Main nosodes: Scirr (tumour hard as a stone), Carc, Med, Tub-bov. Presented
cases for liver cancer included Con (hard as stone), Chel (more 2ndry than
Hydr), Hydrastis (whole GI tract involved), Carb-v, Lyc etc.
For palliation he mentioned Ars-alb, Ars-brom, Rad-brom, Mag-ph, Op, Kali
salts, Ac, Cadm sulph (black vomit - eg stomach cancer)

He justified use of plussing method for Ca treatment with the following:
Race against time, complexity of problem, adverse effect of primary lesion,
2ndries location - violume; 1000000+ cells in lymph/blood - can spread
anywhere (especially in liver Ca as it is such a blood rich organ); to work
alongside interventional procedure eg chemo/radio; no aggravation. The
presented results also spoke for themselves.

You had to take his word for it, but, this guy is a very qualified orthodox
doctor as well as homoeopathic physician to the president of India. So
there was a lot of cooperation with the hospital system, and he utilises
the scientific tests to monitor progress of tumour size, blood details etc.
I saw him in London nearly a year ago, it was interesting to note Rochelle
went to one of his seminars just last weekend in UK, so maybe she will add
comment...

What I mean is - I didn't go out and interview each of his cases
personally - I made my own judgement on the information presented in his
seminar where it relates to my own practice - as you do with any seminar
presented by a wide diversity of homeopaths! The evidence Ramakrishnan
presented was credible and backed up with medical scientific evidence, as
well as the patient's report. He presented a range of cases, with different
outcomes. He was very informative and clear on where homoeopathy works
alongside medical procedure, and which cancers tend to have more successful
outcomes etc.

I have to say I was quite impressed with Dr Ramakrishan's seminar. No way
does he say he cures every case. What he is saying is that he cures a lot
more cases now with his plussing method than he did previously. Also he has
many cases where a tumour has shrunk but not disappeared and despite this
the patient's are living a normal life and have been for some 10 years in
some cases. He calls these held cases but to all intents and purposes they
are like a cure. What I was particularly impressed with was that he has
cured or "held" tumours in cases of liver, pancreas and oesophageal cancers
which have a notoriously poor prognosis.

Hi All,

If you'll read 5th/6th Organon, you'll recognize the source of what Dr.
Ramakrishna calls a "plussing" method - which is a form of Hahnemann's
liquid posology.

Perhaps discussion of the seminar and Dr. Ramakrishnan's adapatation and on
Hahnemann's method to "speed the cure" will give some food for thought.

It is not only that the liquid posology tends to be gentler - it is also
more powerful, as is demonstrated in Dr. Ramakrishna's adaptation ..

Hahnemann clinically proved to his satisfaction, and thereafter published
for our benefit, the fact that the liquid posology could be used
(independent of potency scale) to not only minimize aggravation, but to
"speed the cure" in 1/3 or possibly 1/4 the time required by 4th Organon
"dry dose" .. "wait & watch" (for relapse prior to redose) posology.

I hope that someone (perhaps in India?) can gain Dr. Ramakrishna's help in
getting this message out to his seminar attendee's (& homeopaths in
general.)

Dave - The way Dr Ramakrishnan gives his plussing dose is interesting.

If you remember 11 teaspoons are made up of which one teaspoon is taken
every 10 mins with the last teaspoon being used to make up the next days
dose. He is not bothered what time of day this is done but for those couple
of hours or so no solid food is to be taken and only water or juice drunk,
not tea coffee or cola type drinks. After a week of this dosing the patient
starts on the next remedy.

I also found it interesting that his split dose which he gives once the case
is proceeding well is a pillule (maybe 3 pillules as he uses the poppyseed
type) every 4 hours at 8, 12, 4, 8. He said that he thanked the British for
this prescribing!!!
