i do not watch what cats do generally…but she was at foot of my couch and I
was forced to watch her do this repetitive behavior …I thought she was just
doing a normal cleaning…she may have done this her whole life or it is new.
I'll ask my husband if he knows.

When cats self groom, they moisten/lick their "hand/arm" and rub it over the area they are grooming/cleaning.
