HI Paul, yes, Irene and I talked for many years. She was a wealth of information that she willingly shared. She's who I referred too when I said they had sadly passed away. I've talked to others and mostly they are very limited in their knowledge.
I wish I could find someone else who actually knows & understands breeding ! I would much prefer to stick to Homeopathics then have to resort to drug. Even getting the remedies I want has become difficult, with many stores closing.

Hi,
Regarding books, is anyone familiar with Donald Hamilton's, Homeopathic Care for Cats and Dogs, in order to assess content accuracy. I do have MacLeod's book, also Christopher Day's and would appreciate a candid review of this one.
Sometimes there's not enough time to request a full consult work up. Some rescue groups/people with pets have to do the best we're able to with very basic knowledge of homeopathy alongside acute veterinary care. Additional book suggestions specifically for treating animals w/ homeopathy would be welcome if you feel the content is accurate.

Thank you,
Nan

Hi, Nan

I'm familiar with both Hamilton and MacLeod and find both useful for background on what may be going on with a pet. MacLeod's books offer the better descriptions, in my opinion, of remedies for particular situations. But there are major areas that neither author covers, with cancer being primary.

Dr. Pitcairn has a veterinary repertory out, but at nearly $150 it's awfully expensive for those who only work with animals occasionally.

Peace,
Dale

For I think most veterinary needs, you could do well simply by prescribing as though for a human, but with the knowledge also (and this is where it can be tricky) of what is “normal” for that animal / breed / species. Is that something you’ve tried?

Hi Dale,
Thank you for your input. I'll add Don Hamilton's book. With cancer there would possibly be enougha window of time to have a full consult from a D. Vet Hom.

I don’t know who said it originally, but David Little quotes: "Only a dead man needs no remedies”. This is to say that the body works as hard as it can, as long as it can, wherever it is shown the way. There are all sorts of degrees and locations for cancer, with varying lethality. Just go for it and get a homeopath working on it.

Hi all,
Re the questions about animals and cancer, Sue Armstrong in the UK has recently published a very interesting book. Homeopathic Educational Services is carrying it in the USA. https://homeopathic.com/product/cancer- ... o-be-cured

Shannon,
Prescribing as if for a human would be a good question for a D. Vat Hom as I honestly don't know. With my limited knowledge I try remedies discussed by Irene DeVilliers/others in CATWELL (we're all grateful for her resource info in the Catwell Files) When attempting a "new" remedy not discussed I have followed a guideline of no more than 6 doses specif w/ 30C until I understand more. Breed is tricky w/ many kitties being 'Heinz 57' variety … coloration and body measurement may be one approach.
I'd love to see an online Summit which included presentations on Homeopathy including by D. Vet Homs to raise awareness of options for treating our domestic animals whose lives have been shortened (by some) in the pet food industry. Rescues w/ high numbers of animals espec. need cost effective safe options.

I agree totally count me in,I talk about Homeopath treatments for Animals on my show all the time.

I consult to Owners often and have great results.

Agree we need to have more education, Nan would you like to be a Guest on my show? By Telephone or Skype - we could talk about the do and donts in the care for Pets.

Contact me at - offline if you are interested.
In any case would be great to have a site for all the Vet D Homs.
