Re: Vaccines designed to kill your children
Also, very few in the population have the time or inclination or ability to really read, study and understand the science, or the individual studies, or the claims about them.
Therefore, most of us have to rely on the summaries and interpretations by those whom we trust and respect -- or at least do not suspect of being deceptive, misinformed, etc.
Some of us were raised in the "alternative" model, and cut our teeth on stories of medical... um, inaccuracy. (I certainly did.) So for us the leap is small. But for the majority of the US, for instance, it's a very different story.
Which is yet another reason why, IMO, we make it an easier leap -- and also more accurate, BTW -- if we can make the "attacks" against specifics (e.g. fraudulent science; misinformation; public speakers with an agenda; etc.), and not decrying "doctors" (most of whom, in my experience, are *very* committed to helping their patients), etc. Offering bigger-picture analyses is very good (e.g. documented evidence which counters the claims about vaccines and diseases; countering "fear of disease" with knowledge, and tools).
