He said that he suspected I might try to poison him!

I said one minute you say that there is nothing in homeopathic pills and next you are saying it might poison you??

I had a good experience meeting with a "skeptic" in person. I talked with him for a while and finally convinced him to do a homeopathic proving. He developed so many symptoms that he had never experienced before that he dropped his objections. He had been seriously attacking homeopathy before.
Almost _Everyone_ is skeptical of homeopathy when they first hear about it, including most of us. Only direct experience changes anyone's mind. The poll that I did on this site a while back confirmed that.

Well, *no answer* says it all.
But I hope you suggested to him (or maybe there was no opportunity for
that) to test/prove a remedy that any homeopathic remedy supplier, up to
him to choose from, would gladly give/sell him.
Or maybe he would say that all such suppliers are specifically aiming at
trying to kill/poison him. With remedies that have no effect at all.
