there are many different hospice care agencies and all are NOT created equal.
Was NOT happy with the one we had for my dad. Though, it didn't matter so much as I was caring for him for the 7 weeks from diagnosis till death.
But didn't give me much respite and there were many other issues. But that was one group.

I have worked for other hospices in the past, as a nurse, and was pleased with them

A decision to die will be made by the dying one then, when it suits THEM. But be sure Ars is the match, it could also be Lach for example. Individualize!

I have not known Ars alb to cause death in a person not 'ready to go'. When i dosed my mother, I put it on a piece of gauze (had diluted it in water and added everclear alcohol to the water for wrist administration, and got it all over my hands, obviously it didn't kill me.

Years ago, I had a small dog who was 18 years old, blind, incontinent and had problems moving, it was time for that dog and I tried Ars alb on him, didn't work at all, despite the fact he was almost ready to depart this earth.

A shaman friend told me we all have our time of death predetermined, that it was chosen before we were born and cannot be changed. That is probably pretty accurate.

I always thought I could help people and animals “go” peacefully, but when it comes down to it, I can’t.....what a sissy I am!
I know my dear M-I-L wants to go, so I am letting her, but I will not facilitate it. I guess that is where Hospice comes in.

Yes it is true. Be sure Ars is the match. When I gave it to mom it calmed the anxiety. When I gave it to my old dog years and years before he proved it! Then I felt terrible. It was not pretty.

do know about Ars. Alb. My dear M-I-L cannot make the decision to take it on her own, and until she is completely bedridden and non responsive, I will not give her a dose.....dying....I have seen too much of it lately.

We do all have to do what we feel is correct in the moment. Going with what the person transitioning desires is uppermost in our mind. Our step mother passed the Monday before Thanksgiving at 80 years old. We were called the day before Thanksgiving to rush to our father's side if we wished to say goodby to him. He was refusing to eat had not left his bed for days since her passing and was either sleeping or crying since his wife died. Hospice had been called in for him.
We got there and he recognized us despite his Alzheimer's diagnosis.
Every few minutes he asked the same questions over and over again. Where is Barbara and how is she. Each time he was told she had passed it was as if he was hearing it for the first time despite the fact he was with her when she passed. A look of devastation would come over his face and he would start crying again.
When the nurses left we gave one dose of ignatia 200c and he rallied. He stayed out of bed and chatty until 11:30pm that night when my brother told him that he (my brother) had to go to bed. We stayed with him the next few nights and he stayed up up until 1:30am until we had to go to bed. Dad was no longer crying continuously, began eating a lot especially the sweets we gave him.

It did not stop the repeating questions. One of the same 12-15 questions every 30 minutes was what day is this. On the 7th day we expressed to him that we felt we were living the ground hog movie where one lives the same day over and over again. (Even if you changed the behavior it was still the same day over and over again). Dad looked at me and said I didn't know it was February I thought it was December. I laughed so hard I fell on the floor. He then told me the ground hog story and at least it was a new topic for a short time.

We did not feel it was time to give him arsenicum even though he turns 95 Feb. 12 this year. He is still in hospice though he is now going to the dining hall on his own 2x a day, eating, laughing and interacted with the other assisted living residents.
On the other hand one of of our 92 year old bipolar patients is extremely miserable wasn't eating and we did give her one 200c dose of arsenicum a week ago which calmed down her restlessness. She has started to eat again and be more interactive and bossing her caretakers again.

Hospice has also been called in for her. We feel hospice is an extraordinary good organization and that most of them are caring and well trained. They are all individuals though. we feel the nurse that is taking care of our dad has more people skills than the nurse caring for our 92 year old patient. The good news is there is a team and several people usually check in on them throughout the week.
Ars will NOT cause one to pass quickly. It is not like give the dose and a few hours later they pass. It is a wonderful remedy that clears some of the fears and the restlessness of mind and body about passing. We have been using it since 1986 when our mother passed with great success. Some however, will rally and live for many weeks or months after giving it so please don't feel like it is designed to end life by killing someone. It is designed to make the pathway easier for passing when indicated.
We believe that when passing one goes through the bardos and review of one's life. While we do not wish to see anyone suffer, heavy drugs like the morphine can interfere with this process in our opinion. Homeopathy can ease the suffering and allow one to continue their journey in a more peaceful clear minded way than drugged out of their mind and for that we are very grateful.

Arnica and even ignatia can help them when they are in shock or grieving the loss of their own life or fearing to leave loved ones behind. There are many other remedies that can assist in the end of life journey if one listens and gets the transitioning person to open up about their fears and hopes and dreams.

I don't have much experience with the dying process, but talking to people about it, I usually sense a lot about the person who is managing the dying process. Their fears and concerns for their own death are playing a big role in our conversation. It is as if we never die alone on the spiritual level, although physically it apears that we always die alone. We die physically, as our loved ones struggle with their own deaths. If it is mass death as in natural disastor or war, then the individual death is felt as a society or an heir to an historical experience. The living process and the dying process are two sides of the same experience. I don't understand it well, but the processes are not far apart. The closer we feel them, the more meaningful they are. Both experiences.

Remedies for death and dying- from Madeleine Evans lecture
Lotus – Universal healer, facilitates the action of other remedies and also forgiveness, which allows the true opening of the heart centre. It removes fear and can be used with Rescue Remedy.
Sandalwood – It helps the soul leave the body. It allows for the easy transition of consciousness into the next state. It helps people to let go of the fear of death and understand the process. It is also of use in babies. It cuts through the effects of drugs. Also for grief for any reason. For those bereaved.
Orange – Brings a powerful stillness. It stills the fear and the “light” is brought into the awareness. Opens the heart and allows the soul to separate true from false. Releases grief for the life left behind especially in the case of those who die young. Use with Sandalwood and follows Lotus.
Frankincense- Releases control. Allows surrender. For situations over which we have no control. For all those who are dying. It allows distractions to fall away and for the soul to go straight to the “light”. Use with sandalwood in high potency. For old people and for a fear of dying. Use rubbed on the skin or take.

When death is inevitable, the first named remedies seem to be mostly indicated, but no longer act, and the friends say "Doctor can't you do something to relieve that horrible suffering?" the pain the rattling in the chest, with no power to throw the mucus out; the patient has but a few hours to suffer, but can be made quiet as with the terrible allopathic morphine in a very few minutes, by Tarentula c. 30c. I believe no physician would use a narcotic if they only knew a better way.
