It helps anaphylaxis in a mild case.
I am far more severely allergic to wasps and it was not enough to save my bacon. I needed all kinds of extra fighting to survive, and it took days to get right.
So I got hold of some yellow-jackets and made a remedy from them.
Next sting I used that and it worked immediately at just 9C.
Since it is a remedy from a wasp, used for a wasp's poison, I must assume that whole wasp versus wasp toxin was "similar" in a way that worked and not too identical to be useful!
