You must have proved the pyrogen. I have never had a problem with it when used for infective conditions and the application for tooth abscesses into experience gas worked well. Don't know that I have had a case as bad as yours though. One oft students used it on a bitch that had retained a puppy for a couple of weeks. It was under the ribs and no visible on x ray. The puppy came out rotten and the bich was perfectly fine.

Pyrogen stopped the infection in my roots returning, but if you
remember there was a boiled meat smell which was why I took it.

I will store away Irene's comments.
The following comes from a discussion with a homeopath dentist.
Merc viva for the deeper infection of the gums and Merc s for the more shallow infection. Banerjea
Hepar sulphur, 6a.C
Arsenicum album, 6a.C if it is not active.
3 to 4 globules 4 times a day, until the signs and symptoms have improved, then continue for half of the time it took to get better.
First of all, it has to have a PROPER dental treatment.
Whatever medicine only taken can not cure any dental condition. It requires a commitment of the patient to do whatever is asked and of the practicioner to do the proper thing, not the easiest one.
Even if very little periodontal tissue is "holding" the tooth if it's healthy it can work properly and make the tooth function well.
ASLAM SHERWANI BSc,BHMS,CCP,AICS,FITM. • I have successfully treated several sufferers of teeth infection. severe pain. For pain due to infection Mercurius sol 30C is specific. It clears even hidden infection in the roots. Only six doses given in four hourly duration are enough . Wait for a weak to see weather it is to be repeated again. Frequent repeatation of Merc sol is not advisable. Follow merc with Heper sulf 30C. Staphasagaria 200C. for pain and sensitivity is also very effective. Three dose are enough. Study Belladona for gum swelling Keriosotum is very good. for receding swelling gums

Dear Dr. Ochoa and Dr. Sherwani,
Thank-you very much for your advice. Dr. Ochoa, I really appreciate you taking time out of your busy practice.
The last time what I gave was Hepar Sulph. maybe 200c. But I think the infection was well developed, so I should have tried Merc.
He is somewhat like Ars in character. So, as soon as I see the signs and symptoms, I will try it. It is certain to plague him.
So good to hear that even with the lack of periodontal tissue, he has hope.
He has very competent dental care. Now I have to become more confident and fill in where the dentist can't help him.
He comes back from the dentist with a weeks worth of antibiotics. For myself I would not take the antibiotics and treat with something like Calendula. I am not as daring with him. What would you recommend? I should think pending tooth root infection is like a possiblity of infection in a joint. Would Staph alternating with Calendula make sense? Or maybe Pyrogen if there were the least sign of infection.
Thank-you,
Ellen Madono
Thanks,
So Hepar after Merc because of the antidote situation. Start high like 1m or 200c. Then go to 30c if you are doing something like hepar and Calendula daily?
Best,
Cascavella is also a remedy of teeth, decay and VERY painful gums and gumboils etc, wonderful remedy for rotting, painful (such pain it drives him to a frenzy)Great for cleaning up boils, and gum disease, give in low potency 1 x daily 30c for a few days until the problem is resolved, could be 7 - 10 days
Also Gunpowder is a wonderful remedy for pus and rot, same as above
