As far as your first question is concerned, I think the answer is the same regarding any infectious disease.
We are all susceptible to things at different times.
It depends on the 'vitality' of the individuals vital force and how well tuned it is, as well as the virulence of the 'disease' causing agent whether it be a micro organism or part of it or simple things like a shock of some kind.

Prevent chickenpox, Shingles is consequential to chickenpox.
Varicellinum is a nosode of chickenpox.
Like all nosodes, use only one dose & do not repeat within 3 months.
