Archibel spreads the news that Synthesis is the largest available repertory since quite some time. We have asked them several times not to spread this news since untrue.
the link is to the statistics that show that this is not true. The data for Synthesis come from Archibels own website so they are correct, so are my data about my work

They also say they have the only homeopathy program that works natively on Mac Os, which is also definitely untrue. Complete Dynamics works natively on all current windows systems, on current and older Mac Os and natively on Linux.

I write these things now since the opportunity asked for it and because i am long time irritated by these remarks. Requests to not spread such remarks have not been answered.

What concept of ethics is in question? Archibel sells dozens of replacement keys every year for Radar customers. What they and any other software companies cannot, and therefore do not do, is support outdated versions of their software. If they did that they would be making and programming keys for many, many versions of their older programs. No company does that. And they don't do it because the cost of doing it makes it unfeasible. And that point does not make them "hard-core capitalist". I just checked their website and they appear to have less than 20 employees. So describing them this way appears to be grossly inaccurate.
Most of us consider Radar to be a tool necessary for our practice so it is viewed as a business expense. One would think that under your purview that anyone publishing Homeopathic books, software or remedies should not make any money, is nothing short of ridiculous. I hope you will be sending these same thoughts out to all of the publishers and pharmacies in our field so that they can re-consider their heinous "concepts of ethics".
Next time you order rx's. please tell the pharmacy that you would like to stock your practice at no charge. Or that their rx. prices are too high. That they are just "hard core capitalist". Tell them that they should not be passing on the expense of their costs to you the customer. Let us all know how that plays out.

Yes, that is a claim we made, based on the facts in 2009, when the Treasure Edition at that time, had more new information (remedies more than Kent) than Complete 2009.

2 - on a different "quantity"
We firmly believe that quality of information should be the first concern of a repertory editor. Since version 7 (1997), Synthesis comes with source information: remedies in repertory rubrics are directly and visibly linked to the source Materia Medica text. That quantity of information has been increasing rapidly with each successive edition. Several teams are working to make the upcoming Synthesis 2011 even more complete than ever in this sense. We will have thousands of transparent, verifiable additions in the upcoming version. A unique effort of the Synthesis team.

3- still more "quantity"
In addition, there are numerous links to all types of information in Synthesis, which show that we depart from the old concept that the repertory is merely symptoms with remedies.
We have unparallelled language access tools, direct links to websites, dictionaries, to thousands of Multimedia objects, videos, etc. With RadarOpus, Synthesis 2011 will include direct access to hundreds of full texts of contemporary provings.

4- still remedies and symptoms lacking now?
Yes, it is true that the current version of Synthesis (edition 2009) does not contain some of the more recent information. This is a temporary problem as we do have all that more recent information integrated in our source Synthesis already. Because of the major transition from Radar, EH, etc. to one integrated program RadarOpus, we have a delay in releasing that information.
Anybody is welcome to mail us at synthesis@archibel.com to verify if certain "missing" information has been integrated already or not. In any case, it will be there with the upcoming release of Synthesis 2011.

5- Radar the only one on Mac OS?
Unfortunately, homeopaths like duplication of effort. So there are some dozens of homeopathic software packages out there, on Windows OS, Mac OS, etc. We all know that this is the situation since years.
To say that we are the only homeopathic software on Mac would be ridiculous and in fact never happened. The statement that we did say so is unfounded slandering.

6- Too expensive?
This can only be thought by friends who never did participate in creating the tools our community needs. The amount of work is enormous and far from finished. Still our community is small, so we are offering a vertical software at prices which would expect a very big audience.
Ever since I started with this project, I have seen duplication of effort by the brother in law, the best friend who agrees to program after his hours, most often with the promise to do it all much cheaper if not for free. After many hundreds, sometimes thousands of hours those projects collapse and leave the pioneers staring at their empty pockets.
If homeopaths believe that they are a true profession, we need professionals at all levels, such as the current seven full time programmers at Archibel. If people only knew the efforts made by the true pioneers, doing the original work, such as Roger Van Zandvoort, David Warkentin's team and our team, I am sure they would gladly pay the double.
