I've heard others say similar; my sister gets the runs from it, if eats more than a very little of it. I've never had any trouble from it, but find it more disgusting even than white sugar, if overused--I find it better to use less of xylitol than recipe calls for of sugar. (Tho I tend to use less of *any* sweetener than most recipes call for; still, overdone xylitol seems even ickier to me. In moderate and occasional amounts, tho, I have no trouble with it.)
