Why is it being suggested that Lach is different and should be treated with caution.
Any remedy should be used with normal care and attention.
Lach is used for a plethora of ailments and is a common remedy. For menopausal
women it is a common and much used remedy.
If there is clenching of teeth I would look at Phyt or Bry, and not blame everything
to aggravation from Lachesis. Almost any remedy will have an aggravation on
someone or the other. So what? Just use a remedy that is indicated for the aggravation
and get on with it. We should not try and frighten people off any meds.
Generally aggravations come about when a remedy removes the symptom that is being
treated and the underlying ailment then comes to the fore. Just treat the patient for the
ailment that has surfaced.
Personally I consider aggrevation a good sign; for it has removed the symptom it was
prescribed for and exposed an underlying problem which then needs to be addressed.

Re: LACHESIS -- PRECAUTIONS AND SAFE POTENCY
Potency depends on many factors but yes lachesis usually causes a lot of trouble when repeated in higher potencies so avoid repeating it.
if not sure of the potency and you prefer to give a C potency 200 is usually a good potency
Avoid repeating lachesis even if indicated give an intercurrent remedy before repeating.
L have to admit I have not seen severe aggravations from the LM potencies of Lachesis even when repeated but the cure has also not been as dramatic as when the single dose was given high.
On the other hand I have spoilt a few cases repeating lachesis
best regards

I tend to overdose and aggravate. but dosing should depend on observing reactions.
Having just finished taking Lach for 3 months, over 100 water doses from 200C, 201C, LM3, LM5,
I couldn't get enough of it as I began progressing, some days 2-4 doses needed. Only did 2 brief intercurrents during using my constitutional, then Lach worked even better after.
No provings were experienced, an occasional brief aggravation of existing chronic conditions.
Then rather suddenly need for Lach ended for now and retuning to a previous remedy is now working better. Definitely feel some permanent benefit from Lach. it helped me reduce need for drug Atenolol as it has an adrenal calming effect.
One signal I'm finding when time to switch remedies, I'll become muscle fatigued all over which disappears upon taking another remedy.
So while being cautious, one shouldn't be scared to repeat, and with LMs, often, especially when miasmatically necessary.

Re: LACHESIS -- PRECAUTIONS AND SAFE POTENCY
I have seen several cases of Lachesis with no problems using doses as neede din Fibonacci series.
I would not use any other potency approach - there's no point.
