Thanks for the web site reference. I will talk more with my daughter and try to assess what is being suggested by
this practitioner. He claims to be a classically trained homeopath but began her with things not homeopathic.
Don't know if he is trying to build up her adrenals with other things first or what.

Diatomaceous Earth will kill bed bugs. Its action is purely mechanical in that it smothers the sphericals (breathing holes) of many insects as well as lacerating their stomachs. It is great for fumigating plants to keep insects off of them and when blown through the exhaust of a vacuum cleaner, it will disburse into your environment covering everything with a fine powder which can be easily vacuumed up. DE can also be ingested which will destroy intestinal parasites. It can be taken as frequently as desired with no harm to the body. Food grade is considered more pure and is recommended for consumption. Industrial grade is used in pool filters and in deep well drilling. It can be purchased at most pool supply stores. Food grade is usually also found in health food stores. There are several grades of food grade that come from different parts of the world and have unique medicinal properties.

Do you know what things he began with--nutritional, or ?

No, I don't. My daughter is either being very closed about it or isn's paying that close attention
to what he is saying. I will have to ask her more info as she moves through the tx.
I must say he is very cheap--$68/session?????? He is located in a very high end section of the city
where rents are way up there. She says he is totally backed up with appointments (at that price, no
wonder!). I am super curious about him and his practice.

Good fantasy. DE had no effect on these buggers. As a matter of fact, DE has not worked well for me
on fleas either for which it is recommended.

Really? It's worked *great* for our fleas. I wonder what the difference could be... I would *guess* there might be an issue with your DE, is that possible?

Unless I was fraudulently sold some other or contaminated product, I am sure it was DE.
But other people have also reported poor results with it for fleas.

How did you use it? Here's what I did--not as primary treatment, but for spots. So e.g. when we got 'em in the bed or couch, I sprinkled it under the top covering, and into little cracks and spaces, figuring in their "travels" they'd walk thru it, without us having to sleep or sit in it. And I also vacuumed frequently. When vacuuming fleas I used to put a bit of flea collar into the vacuum cannister, but then switched to vacuuming up a bit of DE. On a couple of occasions when I forgot to do that, the fleas simply hopped out into their new place, and then I had a separate infestation to clean up. But with the DE (or flea collar), that didn't happen.

Diatomaceous earth is one of the most dangerous things you can blow into the air. It is composed of the powdered fossilised remains of diatoms and contains silica and alumimium. It's used, among other things, as an abrasive!! It's extremely drying to the skin (handle with gloves) and the amount of silica in it has to be controlled by lawbecause of safety considerations. Silica inhaled can cause lung problems - silicosis - neither you or your pets should be inhaling this. Do not attempt to use it.

I was much more aggressive than you covering the entire carpet around the couch and chair and all over the dining room and kitchen floors.
But why use something so messy when I have what to use safely, cleanly and quickly. I have written before about an enzyme product that has
worked terrifically well.
