Gail, thank you for your reply.
To give a better picture of my situation, I am from Singapore, a place where there is little awareness of homeopathy. Most people have never heard of homeopathy in my country. I got to know about it because I was researching help for my son. As I got to read some books about it, I began to be facinated by it's healing potential.
My first encounter with 'homeopathy' was with a biochemist last January. He was popular among the special need children community because he was using facial diagnosis to determine what is deficient in these children and prescribed tissue salts to them. After my son has become his client, I shared about my knee joint problem and after initial diagnosis, he prescribed me with Comb. T. I took it for a few months, the condition somewhat improved but didn't go away.
Until June last yr, I came to know about homeopathy through reading of books and internet, so i started looking around for homeopath to treat my knee (and other conditions). Even for a non povety stricken country like Singapore, it's difficult to find a good homeopath. I have consulted homeopaths who advised taking of paracetamal for fever, advised me to bring my son to ENT for a diagnosis before she could treat him, who told me nothing much can be done for my knee because it's part of 'wear and tear' as one ages and asked me to take glucosamine etc.......all these advices formed a very different picture from what I had read from books and makes homeopathy very limited.
These have led me to ask some of my previous questions on this board and of course, the answers fr. some of you confirm my doubt about these homeopaths' competency.
I am still in search of a good homeopath. I got 2 contacts fr. this list and maybe I will contact them.
Nevertheless, this group been a wonderful place for me to learn more about homeopathy and to understand it's true potential.
