I didn't say it's a lie, I asked HOW MUCH of the $1M+ grants Weil gave to Uniz of Arizona supporting integrative medicine went to homeopathy research? Since you are friends with Iris Bell, why not ask???
Certainly you can find out since Iris Bell gave you a gratuitous credit in her book, Getting Whole, Getting Well: Healing Holistically from Chronic Illness on page 112. Yet on page 67, Iris Bell writes: "You want to avoid practitioners who mainly use acupuncture, homeopathy or Aryuvedic methods to treat disease locally at a body part"

What type of "people" in natural healing, Iris Bell and Andrew Weil? What about everyone else?
How has your "cooperation and collobaration" furthered classical homeopathy in the USA one iota?
I have no problem if you wish to align yourself with conventional medical doctors that dabble in complementary medicine for whatever rea$ons. Just don't pretend to be the de facto spokesperson for classical homeopathy in the USA.

As Sheri mentioned, it would behoove Dana to look closer at
1. Defending someone who does have questionable affiliation with homeopathy and overall practices 2. Defending cardboard-figure friends as if they have real integrity, especially in homeopathy.
Are you still proud to have been interviewed by Dr. Oz? One really has to look at associations as a reflection...and what you are really sending out into the world...just a fact, nothing personal.

Are you saying you don't have to be trained as a homeopath to be licensed to practise as one in Arizona? Or didn't you know she was?
Her contribution would have been valuable and interesting anyway imo.

I didn't say anything about licensing in Arizona. I did say that Weil made the
statement that only MD's should/could treat holisitically. It was his
statement that implicitly attacked lay practitioners. There were
virtually no states that licensed homeopaths at the time so I didn't
interpret his comment as against them.
As to Iris Bell--yes her comments were interesting and somewhat supportive.

Now that i think about it..that is pretty scary what the FTC and Dept. of
Health are doing by sending those letters to Dr. Weil. For one thing...isn't
this an issue belonging to individual states and not the federal govt? I just
get a bad feeling considering what the implications are. I mean this
statement:

cleared, or authorized by the FDA.

You can't recommend preventative measures...Gee..well..then make sure you
don't recommend anyone eating fish or green vegetables to prevent the flu. I
mean, really...what nerve...there has to be something unconstitutional about
those letters in light of the fact that the department of health and the ftc
DO NOT regulate the pharmaceutical companies to do long time research on any
of their crap. Is everyone in bed with pharms? I am livid.

In order for the FTC to do anything such as write a letter..they would have
had to have gotten plenty of letters written to them from
pharmaceuticals...They are just an information gathering institution. I've
dealt with them about a friend who is being screwed by one of those banks that
was bailed out...i mean actually promising people modifications..charging them
money to go on a 3 month payment plan and then claiming they were late or they
have too much money or too little money and then taking them into foreclosure.
Whats the cutoff..because of privacy...they won't tell you how many
complaints they have...so you'll never know if they will ever enforce any law.
So in this instance they either got plenty of complaints from the pharm
companies..or they represent not the american people..but the dept of
health...and that i find hard to believe.

I hope Dr. Weil takes them to court...or brings this to the attention of the
media....This is unamerican. I am livid. And please don't say this is off
topic....this has everything to do with homeopathy.

the FDA has authority to define what is an approved or safe product for the
consumer. that is its mandate. it is another way that health, the province of the
state, is overridden by the feds. it wouldn't be so bad to have a national agency
that was responsible for researching the safety and efficacy of toxic drugs. however,
agencies like the FDA and USDA are shills for the corporations and not the public.
as such they are agencies of social manipulation and control. they are scarey and
have been for very many years. it is just that people haven't been paying attention.
now the situation has reached pandemic (LOL) proportions and, once again, we
are running behind playing catch up and trying to stop the flood as it pours down
on us.
