Contagion is contagion is contagion - it either happens or it doesn't. We have already seen that Hahnemann writes about conceptual contagion in § 11 but it is down to susceptibility as to whether or not sx develop. The whole point about § 100 is that 'every prevailing disease ..... is unique, differing vastly from other epidemics' which makes the notion that one substance for many diseases is a nonsense (unless of course the sx fit but that doesn't come into the discussion it seems here).

The rest I'll answer next week as I am away for the weekend. Got some serious cricket to watch )

You did not read my post with care. I defined Cure as per Hn's definition. Perhaps John had made the same mistake.
So when you wrote the following you were making an error. The penicillin removes the causative agent, but the problem of susceptibility remains! Not a cure according to Hn.
** So to use one of John's examples, if symptoms of a middle ear infection disappear after the patient receives penicillan, that result is now supposedly a homoeopathic cure??? No wonder John picked up on your misapplication of Aphorism 26.

My understanding of 'Clinical Proving' is that a remedy when given to a patient has removed amongst others a symptom that has not been listed for that remedy!
When a patient after extensive and incorrect use starts to exhibit a symptom associated with the remedy (like the poor woman we saw in college who had been on Sepia 30C daily for a year) then that is giving a proving of the remedy and alarm bells should have sounded long before.
