He has been to acupunturists, chinese herbalists, a variety of chiropractic
modalities, body work, energy workers, radionics practitioners, etc. in the
past 10 yrs.

I will keep in in mind, though.

thanks for the input. I will try to find that remedy list. I think graphites
was one he has had but I will try to confirm.

Joy's thoughts about Graph are certainly worth considering very seriously.
I had thought of chin-s (which I see by the list he's already tried) . For
what it's worth, here are a couple of thoughts that occurred strongly to me
as I worked through the case.

It occurs to me that the list of remedies he's received does not contain
Lyss. The history of immunization against rabies is rather unusual, and
probably quite traumatic. In addition, his present symptom picture (not
taking into account the whole constitutional underlying complex) has some
important components of lyss, making one think that this nosode might well
be useful in unblocking the rest of the case. His central fear of being
betrayed which is apparent in his thoughts about relationships and in what
he says about fearing law enforcement, fear of taking responsibility is a
keynote of Lyss. In addition, his reluctance to be touched or approached by
others, even affectionately has a very lyssin quality about it. (Hyos comes
to mind here too, with his role of "clown"). There is no mention of fearing
water, but he is worse sun, which is the other manfestation of "bright and
shiny" that is mentioned in Lyss. Plus contact with water is the alleged
sourceof his repeated ear infections. His aggressive response to feeling
ridiculized and tormented, and his criticality and abusive tendencies are
also Lyss, as is the acuteness of his various senses. The persistent history
of headaches with many modalities also suggests this remedy. The stiff neck
and back would also suggest hydrophobic tendencies.

I think that this patient also shows strong sycotic patterns, but the
hydrophobic ones stand out, along with the history of rabies vaccine. It
could be worth considering this seriously.

Thanks for the input. I did find the list of remedies in a stack on my desk.
While it is not 100% complete as it was assembled from his memory over the
past decade, I was surprised Graph. was not on it. I know his son had it,
perhaps that is confused me. He had Lyss a few weeks ago for many of the
reasons Rosemary perceived - no change.

Hi,
1.)Eventhough Kent mentions this sep only under fevers,
I find it applicable even otherwise, when the case
comes to us after abuse of potencies. So I would start
the case with sep.
"FEVER - CHANGING, paroxysms - abuse of; after - homeopathic potencies"

2.)The other remedy that comes thro' is kali-i.
Following is quoted from Phatak's MM.

"Diversity of lesions, diversity of aggravations, with many tedious
symptoms, without any one feature being in prominence calls
for this remedy....
Irritable, irascible esp. towards his children; his family.
- Harsh tempered and cruel.
- Trivial details of life seem insupportable...."

3.)Anxiety (about committing a crime) with fear is a
common strain for all the Kali's and kali-i figures here
also.

Just out of curiosity, I took what seem the two most outstanding aspects of
the case, the feeling that he's a criminal and the head pain that runs
through the whole narrative in different guises. I crossed "delusions is a
criminal" with "head pain worse sun." This brought up only the following:
Hyos, ign, Nux-v, puls, nat-c, sulph and Phos.

As I said before, there are some strong indicators here for Hyos, with the
history of clowning. Might be worth researching more?? I suspect the case
is a bit muddled up from all the remedies, in any case, so I'm not sure a
complete repertorization will tell much that's useful. Maybe going back to
Sulph, which is one of the few remedies indicated in this minimal pair of
rubrics, just to clear things up, might also be a useful strategy?
