Hmm, I dare say I see some difference but I did find MY symptoms in
the repertory - so it fits with variations in a proving among provers.
My pain was excruciating too, but so bad I could not readily tell it
was from the throat only - my entire head seemed on fire. My doctor
pointed out my throat was extremely bright red and inflamed and also
the eustachian tubes. The pain was more like having a ball of fire in
the throat - radiating pretty far - hence the feeling the head was
bad. Right eustachian tube was blocked causing severe ear pain. The
odd symptoms was worse if turned head left. (Probably squashed the
eustachian tube even more?)

I worry about this comparison in that I have underlying one-sided
illness as well as an iinnate constitutional type not phyt in either
case.
Provings never take innate constitutional type into account:-)
Hard to know what influence the underlying factors have.

Dear Irene,
If I have several possibitlies, I would take the one closer to the
constitutional, but I have heard that is wrong because I am risking
exciting constitutional factors. It don't know the answer, but it
seems to work just fine considering the constitution in the acute
case. It makes more sense to me.

This MM is arranged differently from all the others I have known.

The symptoms of a specific remedy are grouped by the provers who
developed them. There you can REALLY see how different the symptom
pictures of the same remedy may be, depending on the person who took
it.

Too bad that this MM is so poorly known (or so it appears to me).

My experience and approach is to always use the remedy that best fits
the symptoms. And indeed that was effective here: It is unusual for
me (with no immune system) to chase bronchitis in under 3 months much
less to avoid it slipping into pneumonia.
I credit two things for the 3 day turnaround record:
Choosing an acute that is spot-on with the symptoms;
Improvement in my health from my relatively new simillimum for the
serious one-sided disease I have had for 11 years now.

What I do find about a remedy that matches the innate constitutional
type - is that it tends to provide general support (as opposed to
specific support) so that in many cases, that may be all that is
needed, for the person's immune system to do the work of
strengthening cells against infection. I do not think that would have
helped at all in my case, due to the difficulty I have getting over
any kind of infection at all.

Not sure if that makes sense to others - but that is how I see it.
