This eye wandering is NOT to be taken as a physical phenomena, first, in this case.

This is a mentally irresolute patient, and I think a broad "timid" label will do. (though will not hep much in the initial analysis)

Good question, Rochelle. I don’t think there are any rubrics dealing with this, though I’ve noticed Nat-m. pxs often avert their eyes while talking. In the case of that remedy, it seems the urge to connect is contending with their natural reserve – and there is not the loquacity and anxiety you describe in your px. So what’s going on here? Is it wariness or a fear of being attacked, which would make one think of an animal remedy? Is it a restlessness that’s somatized in her eyes rather than, say, her feet?

I had a woman in yesterday who was unable to look at me. Her eyes were moving in every direction when talking to me. She was very loquacious, very anxious, fearful to take the remedy. She had come to me for an acute problem but this not being able to look at me was most disconcerting. She wasn't trying to hide anything, it was as if she was unable to look in one direction and keep her eyes there.
